Yes could easily see Kennedy back at Celtic and can see what you mean about this being not just good for Kennedy but for us in the sense of a new manager being able to bring in his own team as well. All true but we are losing a really excellent coach from what I know and I just hope he had a few years left on his Celtic deal so we can at least get a decent fee from Tottenham in compensation.

 

Pretty sure Conte had his own team, didn't his assistant take temporary charge then get fired?

Good to see kind words about the big man. He's been some servant to the club over so many years. Would love for him to get a crack at management at some point and do well enough to be considered for the Celtic job.

Stayed loyal when Rodgers tried to take him wouldn’t be annoyed if he left now.

He has been a good servant and it would also mean we are not looking to give him the gig either.

Nice guy good coach but don’t think he would be the one to take us forward if the job was offered to him, so moving down south might be his best option.

 

Clearly good at being an assistant, both Ange and the snake want/wanted him.

Honestly think that this is a good opportunity for him and probably for us as a club to start a fresh. I'd like to see the next manager come in with his preferred staff.

It's incredible what Ange achieved, especially coming in single handedly to a new background team too.

Wonder if the reported £5M compo covers Strachan and Kennedy as part of the package

 

Got some amount of stick over his years here, and no guarantee he'd be kept on. Supposedly he was behind a lot of the player analysis and how the squad used it early on in Ange's tenure. Should get a lot of credit.

Think it's a very sensible decision and great opportunity for him. Good luck to him, hope to see him back at some point.

I'd imagine it'll be for all of them.....might even be a bit more..

 

He's been part of a very successful period and it was he, not Lennon, whom most of the players turned to after Rodgers left.

At least we won't have another Eddie Howe repeat; where a new manager is told that he has to have this glorified youth coach hanging off his neck as a condition of job acceptance. Ridiculous to force a new manager share his touchline with anybody.

How he survived BOTH the Deila and Lennon fiascos, especially after his utterly disastrous stint as head coach, where he literally set up Lennon's failed system, but somehow, unbelievably, ran worse, blows my mind.
