John Kennedy

If we are bringing in a new manager most have their own backroom staff and him hanging about could put managers off taking the job and he should take the chance to go to the EPL .

 

Just seen that.

Can't blame him tbh. He's spent a long time here and probably feels like it's a good move for him career wise and will earn a lot of money for it.

I just want decent compensation for anyone who wants to leave.

I only want people who want to be here.

 

Told the club he wants to leave.

 

I think it makes sense. Only reason for him to stay is if he's given the manager gig. Would be a kick in the teeth for him to stay and serve under someone like Maresca for example.

 

Wonder if Strachan will go as well. To start a complete fresh with none of the main coaching staff would be *.

 

Disappointing and makes it harder for us..

We need someone fairly experienced as we're losing a lot..

 

Losing a lot of Celtic experience in Kennedy but we have guys working with the B team who have been doing well. I've always felt that a manager should decide who he brings in and who he keeps but wouldn't be against Knutsen, a couple of Norwegians and McManus/O'Dea being promoted to the first team somewhere.

 

In the minority here but I don't really care if JK stays or goes.

By all accounts he sounds like a decent coach but has been here long enough now. Needs to move elsewhere to forge out his own career.

After the Lenny debacle he was a disaster when he took charge and I get the feeling we wouldn't miss him that much. We need to freshen things up. Two years ago pretty much everyone wanted him punted.

Also feel like Ange knows he'll majorly be up against it which is why he wants to take our staff with him. Another selfish move from Ange but you can see why. For a guy whose always gone in by himself he knows that the Spurs gig will be a different animal. Needs everyone onside to ease his transition.

 

Big move for him considering Spuds record with managers..

Aye I'm desperate to no change too much and that's why I want Kennedy to stay..

He's kinda the day to day glue that keeps everything going by all accounts..

Big Mick is rated coming through i think but I just feel like Kennedy is a level above guys like that just now and we'd lose a fair bit of he went..

 

Most managers will want to bring in their own assistant anyway. It's probably easier to negotiate if Kennedy isn't forced on someone, and his compensation will help pay for the new guys assistant

 

Strange. Ange doesn't even bring his assistants... or so he said.

 

Not surprised Ange wants him they seemed to have built a pretty solid relationship, and new managers coming in might want to pick their own staff anyway.

 

Gutted to hear this but I really hope he does an amazing job and gets a managerial gig on the back of it.

 

Every 3-5 years or so the hoose needs a lick of paint and a freshen up, Kennedy has been here for ages, time to move on.

Get somebody else in, plus the new gaffer might want to bring his backroom guys anyway.
