Who could we replace Ange with?

The good thing about Marseca is probably that he's not an established manager and he's working with Guardiola just now.

If Kennedy and Stachan stay he will probably be open to ideas from them and continue the same style of play, Man City play actually almost identical to us only their Greg Taylor is John Stones and he plays centre-back and our midfield type defender plays left-back but the set ups are very similar.

If Kennedy and Strachan tell him we're playing similar to City and we play the way we do with the quick goal kicks and it works well he will probably be happy to continue it and make wee tweaks here and there from what he knows from City and thinks would be better.

A new guy coming in with his own team it'll be a restart and everything out the window which could still work but seems dodgier.

 

We've got a full season of 'impartial' VAR as well. Will need to hit the ground running

 

Maresca with MON as DOF would be * atrocious. I think Maresca just being the manager would be pish aswell going off his stint at Parma.

This is me trying to wean myself off here but being in such a good place surely we should be driving the advantage home and continuing our domestic dominance incase the huns improve this season and trying to make inroads in Europe.
I've always felt us being in a rivalry suited the board and they were happy for us to be close to them instead of pulling away but I thought things had changed.
We should not rest on our laurels.

… and as much as I hate Mancy City snd everything they stand for …

… would it not be a good thing to have a manager who has ‘the ear’ of the supposed best there is right now and possibly (sadly) about to win a European Cup.??

 

If we lose the coaches as well then there will be a hard transition, it would make sense to get in a coach that has a similar style of play to what we have if Lawell is responsible for bring them in then he will stick to CFG model it’s what he knows and it worked

the stability of the team worries more, I would make sure no member of the fist team starters leave unless they are in their last year and won’t resign an new contract.

Looking at the names mentioned Potter and Knutsen are the standouts but would be hard to bring here, just look at the Howe debacle so if it comes down to maresca then at least he and the players know the format of how we like to play and I’m sure Lawell will be helping him hugely if we’re to get a DOF them maybe Paul Lambert would do that role he seams like someone who keeps himself up to date
