Would take Knutsen all day long. Look how he never jumped shipped at the first sniff of a bigger paycheck elsewhere. And he schooled Ange in Europe. Would be the perfect appointment

Not so much that he merely played for them, but that he also acted like a true Hun - deceitful and cruel on the pitch.
If it were say, Antti Niemi instead of him that managed Yokohama F-Marinos, I'd be open.

Rodgers isn’t on that list, but I also wouldn’t entirely rule him out. If Rodgers was to return, it would be something dealt with directly by Desmond and not through the usual channels.

Big test of the board this. Got BR appointment spot on. NL appointment was wrong and they for lucky wi Ange after the Eddie Howe debacle. So all eyes on them again. But they're coming to this process in a position of strength and in far better terms than the last 3 appointments.

Maresca when he was touted last time was coming wo Fergal Harkin wasn't he?! That wouldn't be the case this time. Last time was a rebuild, which isn't the case now. It's to continue with the dominance at home whilst making strides in to later stages of Europe.

The way our squad is shaped currently, Moyes can be passed on. Won't work at all. Knutsen fits the bill and Marsch should be a consideration also. Bosz, Seoane should be considered as well.

But proper thorough processes need née to.be done here. Not just going through the CFG contacts or Lawells pocket book for names of 2021.

Muscat was an absolute animal on the pitch.. so * what. That was his playing carrer.

I'm not saying I want him but if he's a good coach he's playing days should have absolutely nothing to do with it.

For what it's worth I wouldn't say he's in with a shout anyway

One doesn't suddenly become a good person by hanging his boots up if he's been evil on the pitch.

How long should we expect the process to take? Based on previous hiring processes.

I have a sinking feeling that we'll end up with Marsch.

I don’t think we’ve ever had a hiring process comparable to this one; so it’s impossible to say.

In my opinion our new manager MUST have these 2 things.

    1. Experience of management for a decent length of time. Being a number 2 is not the same regardless of where it was and how long you were there. They may turn out to be very good but Celtic is not a place we can just see how he does.

    2. Experience working within a tight budget and unearthing gems. That's where we are in the cog now. We sign players with a view to train up and sell on for profit. Any new Celtic manager won't have the luxury if buying 10mil+ players as and when they feel like it.

Just my opinion but I think crazy to get anyone in who doesn't have both of these things
