Just read up on Potter. Think he would be a decent appointment. Only issue is if he could handle managing at a club like ours.

Maresca ergh. Hoping it's a lazy City link and nothing more.

Interview from Desmond last year claiming to always have a list of 5 names for managers job that is regularly updated.

    * knows what happened to the list in 2019. Must of got soaked in the shower.

    Hypothetically who's the current 5?

    1 Rodgers
    2. Potter
    3. Marsch
    4. Moyes
    5. Maresca

He is 9/1 on the bookies list. Hardly earth shattering news that he is a target. If he is 2nd on the list though I would have major concerns.

Untested yes but is well known with lawells and probably most like for like in terms of playing style so potentially easier transition

    Potter or Knuttson for me.

Everything else is quite underwhelming wouldn’t actually mind Muscat though everything looks good on paper for him to follow in Anges footsteps if we can just get over the fact he played for the Huns and was a dirty *

He was an exciting name when we were utterly * because we had 0 expectations. Coming in now after he failed miserably at Parma I have no enthusiasm for him. He's been assistant at City, where you have literally everything going for you with money and the entire group, you don't have that here, he's not got.the connections to build a coaching team and I doubt he's got the knowledge of markets to build for us.

Personally think the strength of us domestically would allow him to adjust quickly/get comfortable (to an extent). Edit: plus us not playing qualifiers in summer now gives managers a bit of bedding in time we never used to have.

The fact he took a Swedish 4th tier side to Europa League and gave arsenal a good game screams out to me more than the Chelsea and even Brighton jobs.

He might have been impressive 2 years ago when we were interested but he's did absolutely nothing since to merit being anywhere near the job. Really hoping it's not true

Exactly that's why I'm worried if they are talking to him.

I would rather John Kennedy than Maresca. * it at least Kennedy would be a continuity of sorts. Why appoint the Man City assistant over your own?
