You were suggesting that was basically all we were lacking to get better results.

I disagreed with you, and said it wasn’t as simple as just buying one player. The system was far too open and loose defensively.

I never disagreed that we needed that type of player, but I did disagree with you about the overall impact they would make without altering the tactics and shape.

I can go back a quote the posts if you want? I’ve a very good memory, and I remember the discussion very clearly.

He's done nothing since leaving Salzburg, where its impossible to fail.

Drawback being he seems to be quite a confrontational character. Some high profile fall outs as a player due to his selfishness and apparently left PSV due to tensions with coaching staff and the board..

If Ange is taking one player its CCV who has been by far our most consistent player.

Im sorry but i just csnt see Spurs going from Harry Kane to Kyogo.

None. That's my point. I think we were at the beginnings of him building a team/set up that could then he * off.

Yeah willing to overlook pretty much most the Chelsea stuff due to state of them but how poor he came across in interviews and didn't seem to handle the pressure would be a concern

Haven’t Brighton done better since Potter left?

If Ange has "tried to clear out the staff" then that diminishes his goodwill even further.

Anyway, Potter intrigues me, he's a big name and clearly a very good coach. I'd take him in a heartbeat compared to most of the other names mentioned. At the same time he isn't really known for creating high goal-scoring sides, is he? Brighton didn't score many under him (look at what De Zerbi's done) and it was the same at Chelsea. They were absolutely hopeless offensively.

By the nature of our league obviously that wouldn't (hopefully) be as much of an issue here. But it's something to think about, especially in Europe. At least with Ange he guaranteed you goals, which is what every Celtic fan wants to see. Not sure what Potters' teams are like defensively either.

Kobiyashi n Bernabei seemed to be affected the most.

No question they have. More fun to watch as well. Potter's teams played decent football bur rarely actually looked like scoring. Now Brighton look a decent side in the final third as well as been a decent side in terms of keeping the ball.

Strong rumour Harry McQuire could join spurs and proves Ang isn't picking the players to come to spurs .

Really don’t want maresca , too much of a risk since he failed in his one managers job , Marsch not too fussed about , potters a bit meh , as I said before he did well at Brighton but they improved more again when he left and he bombed at Chelsea, Clark a defo no , Moyes would be dull football

Think any of knutsen , van bommel , Farioli , michel or iraola and I would be happy , any of them would be achievable I think

Steffen Baumgart I’m sure he’s done decent at Köln and was linked before contract might be up soon also

Have to be honest mate most of the EPL I watch is in the pub so I rarely listen to any interviews. I've heard he had a nightmare when it came to interviews alright... we're they that bad?

No I didn’t. I said we were probably a couple of players short, and not being able to play our favoured pairing at centre half.

Some memory you have right enough.

Think the reason for Chelsea struggling to score was they had no strikers and wingers who were all shot of confidence/new signings. Ostersunds, Swansea and Brighton all played good football under him, albeit the guy De Zerbi seems to have taken Brighton up another gear.

I think you may very well be right on that.
