    Total outsiders:

Van Nistelrooy - done well in his first season and won silverware. Put out the CL by the zombies, but highly regarded as a coach and a decent record.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - well thought of also. Got cracking results vs the zombies. Off the back of a decent first season with Blackburn.

    Absolutely.

Players have 4 weeks off, so ideally some in and starting in a fortnight, no later than 3 weeks with his team in place also.

I’d take Muscat. Don’t think the board would go for him though in fear of a riot

I get we're all throwing names out there but you've suggested a bloke at RB Leipzig and a guy who just got his team promoted to the EPL?

If I'm talking *, what are those suggestions?

I’m devastated Ange left because of how much I liked the fella. This has led me to probably have doom and gloom feel that we are in big trouble, big changes, players leaving. Rangers strengthening
    This makes me feel better…….

The worrying aspect for me is how some of the players will take this, they've obviously known for a few weeks now and it's shown.

It's crucial we offload the ones who are going to be affected by this and bring in the right replacements.

    Massive summer ahead.

That’s funny, because I was saying this to you not so long ago, and you were glossing over it saying one player wouldn’t change a thing. You’re * hoaching by the way.

Van Nistelrooy impressed me whenever I’ve heard him talk about the game. Not a bluffer, no BS. Seems like an intelligent guy with plenty of common sense. Obviously played at the highest level too, which helps.

If we were going to take a punt on some unproven guy, I’d rather give someone like him a shot. Someone with a big reputation and pedigree in the game. But it’s always a risk.

I never said one player would change everything. I clearly said it was one example of where he should have been doing better. The hint is in the words “for example” in my post…

You were suggesting at the time, that we only needed a more defensive minded player in the midfield and we could get better results. I disagreed with you, and said that without altering the tactics and shape one player wouldn’t make a big enough difference. I haven’t changed my opinion on that.

I was talking specifically about our dealings in the transfer market under the fat man in that post above, as I was replying to a comment specifically about that topic. You need better comprehension skills.

Mikey on kds (one of the better ITK"s) said he tried to clear out the staff and take one player. He never said which player but I'm assuming Kyogo. He also thinks we will go for Potter

Rodgers and Marsch were rumoured by Sky Sports earlier today.

I said a good holding midfielder could have made a massive difference. The fact you have just said about Madrid forking out so much for these types of player would suggest that it could have made a huge difference. I think we got this wrong last summer not signing one, and said it at the time as well it would bite us on the * in Europe, which it did. Ange clearly recognised that however, hence why we then signed Iwata. Someone who is a naturally defensive minded midfielder.

Potter, Maresca or Knutsen would be nice but are probably unrealistic. Am I right to be underwhelmed by the mention of Marsch?
