    It would have been 100% the same.

    All things considered, I don't think this is as big a loss as people might think.

    Ange as a manager had his deficiencies. He played favourites regardless of form, didn't rotate enough, had one tactic that he wouldn't adapt for Europe, and he let good players like GG and JJ go for well under their actual value. His biggest asset was probably his knowledge of the Asian market and even then he's lumbered us with at least a couple of duds. Our hitrate outside that market has been pretty good so I'd be more concerned about him taking scouts than anything else.

    We're in a good place to attract a decent manager as well. We're strong compared to our competition with some money to spend over the summer and guaranteed CL football. It's still a good time to be a Tim.
