I’m no * any beds… I’m very calm and relaxed about the whole thing. Speak for yourself mate.

But then I never bought into all the braindead hype around the fat Aussie and his magical football philosophy.

So I naturally don’t agree with your perspective on the whole club being uprooted either. Nonsense stuff.

Of course you need some structure to the club outwith whatever particular manager is in the hot seat. But we have plenty of structure and solid organisation at our club.

We are not in any sort of crisis, and we don’t really need some overbearing strict structures in place. It’s overkill and unnecessary.

We’re in a very solid and stable position as a club. We just need to hire another manager with some ability and we’ll be fine next season.

Potter like Rodgers will definitely be waiting on a epl sacking next season so can cross both off. Can see Potter at a Everton west ham soon no chance with us. Remember we have to try convince any man your playing * like Livingston ross county Kilmarnock, St. Mirren, murderwell at least 3 times a season..

Each to their own but to take the club forward and become bigger hitters in Europe we definitely need it. If you don't agree, fair do's but we can't constantly expect to have our manager pinched every couple of seasons and think that's any way to breed the consistency required to achieve that. That's before we talk about the way Ange worked in terms of transfers that should be standard for a club like ours but wasn't before him.

Believe it or not there are plenty of clubs who operate this way and consistently out gun us on the European stage that we would like to class as smaller than us. It isn't out there thinking.

You also have the attraction of guaranteed Champions League football. We are an attractive prospect at this stage.

Potter wasn't the right fit for Chelsea, he proved that he's a good manager who can assemble and organize a team.

I know people like eye-candy football, and TBF, it's effective in Scotland. But when looking at the South Korean U-20 WC run that's ongoing right now, the importance of defensive preparation becomes obvious. They have no stars, yet their manager has drilled them into a superb unit that has reached the semi-finals. And those are kids basically, with U-20 teams struggling for continuity since people come and go into the age group.

If we had their defensive organization and set piece preparation, suddenly we'd see a point at CP against PSG or maybe all three. Let's go against the grain and pick a manager known for stuff that works, no matter how boring.

They apparently never let him play against us, fearing he'd get a red card. He was that vicious.

What structures did the fat lad put in place that made us bigger hitters on the European stage?

The man talked a good game in interviews, but I didn’t see anything revolutionary about his methods. Certainly seen zero progress in terms of turning us into a European force.

His work in the transfer market was okay, but a bit overblown too.

He signed players that could walk the Scottish game, fair enough, but they were completely unsuited to getting results against stronger opposition in Europe.

For example, he never signed a single top notch holding/ball winning midfielder. How can you expect to get results in Europe, if you don’t have players who are good at winning the ball and starting quick counter attacks? Anyone worth their salt in European football knows that’s the name of the game at the elite level. Look how much money Madrid have forked out for those type of players in recent seasons… But the fat man didn’t seem to grasp this.

For me, Lenny made far better signings with regard to going into European games. Players that could fit into an effective game plan and carry out different tactical shapes.

We got none of that with the fat Aussie genius. Just a team full of flair players who couldn’t defend to save their lives in big European games. Kevin Keegan did that 20 odd years ago, and everyone called him a bit naive for it… because he was.

Don’t get me wrong, it worked a treat in the league for us and was great fun… but I’m not under any illusions that he was some sort of trailblazing revolutionary coach! Good salesman though.

Presumably the board would want someone not only appointed… but in place in the next few weeks… the Japan tour will be looming … assuming it’s still going ag head ?!?
