Quoting ye again but I put Moyes/Rodgers in the same boat.

We 100% win the league next year under either of them, no doubt about it. My issue is everything else. With Rodgers, there's questions on his recruitment, how he left and his notorious "Second Season" syndrome. Moyes similar albeit his style of football is just abysmal to watch.

Desmond hasn't really got a bad track record while appointing a manager here lennon being the exception but there was a whole host of things that went badly that year I have faith he will get us the right man again

See the thing is, I'd agree in fairness, Moyes probably would do us a turn in Europe.

And this bit is just pure laziness on my part so I accept the criticism against me... but he just feels like a slightly more modern version of WGS.

Would get almost unrivalled success in Europe but because of the style he would adopt, he'll forever split the fanbase.

Someone we should be approching to interview imo and not just because I hate Leeds and want us to * them over. He's a very exciting young coach, looks to play fast attacking football but willing to be pragmatic and change tactics when needed, has the "fight for every win" mentality having led HT to the play offs and taken WBA from bottom to 2pts off play offs. Learned under Bielsa, fitness fanatic and passionate as * and had enough about him to bat Leeds away and stay to try get WBA promoted. May be too soon for him to take on a club like Celtic but if not this appointment we should be tracking him for a future one before the EPL gets him.

It's arguable, perhaps with a little tin foil hat on that is.

That Lennon was strictly a Lawwell appointment and Desmond, one time, gave Lawwell scope to do it himself.

Which turns sour and ends up with Lennon turning his whole legacy at the club sour and Lawwell having to relinquish the role of CEO.

Don't quite grasp why Moyes would be in the conversation. Is he due to leave west ham? Didn't have the best season but he's got them to a European final. Has there been talk of him leaving that I wasn't aware of?

I want a younger, attack minded coach who would continue the way Ange has had us....with their own wee tweaks and that..

Moyes isn't some diddy though. Been a high level EPL manager for years and 2 years on the spin has taken West Ham to a semi and now a European final..

Just wouldn't get the juices flowing but I think he'd do well here..

Perhaps the board want European success. I do too, TBH. Then again, Fonseca was mentioned here as someone we could go for.

Moyes is a lazy link imo, not saying he won't be in contention but he's still manager of West Ham, so we won't have sounded him out whilst he's still there.

He'd do good tho, better manager than most give him credit for, it's just his style of football is bleh.

Apparently he's a dead man walking at West Ham even if he wins the Conference..

I read somewhere that the Hammers had the 6th highest net spend in world football and still only avoided relegation in the last few weeks of the league.

    I absolutely 100% don't want Moyes

Hes not a bad manager I just don't think he's suited to us and I don't fancy his boring crap style of football. He might get results in Europe but domestically it will be a horrible turgid watch and I'm not ready for that after 2 seasons of Angeball tbh. Our squad isn't suited to it either. We've also been linked with him for the past 15 years are so.

I don't know where this Moyes will do us a turn in Europe is coming from... West Ham budget compared to any other team in the conference is massive.

One West Ham player cost more than the entire Squad of the Dutch team they beat in the semi final

I wouldn't mind Kennedy really but also I don't feel he is a manager, if he was everyone would probably be happy to appoint him as he would been seen as a stronger character and more well liked by the fans but he seems more a background character and has never push himself forward as someone who could do the job.

Even if he was a decent manager he might also be one who doesnt have the personality and bottle for Celtic.

I'd prefer him to stay, he must have picked a lot up off Rodgers and Ange. Ange also showed that to implement a mental style of play you don't even need anybody to help you, any coach should be able to tell the players what you want them to do so kind of blew that out the water that a lot of people make a big deal of whos part of whos coaching team and all that when on the park they did completely different stuff from the time before with all the same coaches.
