He looked dreadful at Leeds, I dont know who he managed before but he looked like a quiet shitebag and Leeds were terrible.

Wouldn't have him near us, same with Potter. Potter is a good manager which has been proven but has no personality and looked like he was * himself on the touchline at Chelsea, never had the bottle probably to control their squad and drop and bin and sell guys he had to.

We need a big character as our manager. We can't have Deila, Potter and Marsch types scared to get tore into the board or bin players at the drop of a hat and sell them. Be better with a Lennon than a better tactical manager who is too soft with both the players and the board.

I've watched every Leeds game of Marsch's tenure. We absolutely don't want him, I can't stress this enough. Terrible football, players had no idea what they were supposed to do (confirmed by multiple reporters) and he's also a bit of a weirdo like when he celebrated Leeds losing to City.

Following on from my earlier post, I do think it's reasonably imperative to try and obtain a manager that has a very similar tactical philosophy and playing style to what we currently play under Ange.

It means the team does not need an unfeasible overhaul in terms of fitting into a new style of play / players not being the right fit. 4-3-3 works very well for us, the high, relentless pressing and prioritising that front-foot attacking play.

I'd love it if we went after Peter Bosz, very similar style of play, uses a 4-3-3 and has experience at big European clubs like Ajax, Dortmund, Leverkusen and Lyon.

I wonder if André Villas-Boas' name would be getting thrown about if it weren't for his apparent change in career, now racing rally cars.

What are you, the local fat acceptance officer around here or something?

I’ll call him whatever I want, especially if he’s fcuked off down to * land after playing our fan base like a fiddle. (Well the more naive ones anyway)

He’s just some fat Aussie bloke who managed us for a hot minute…

I’m sorry if you’re an Angeball groupie and that hurts your feelings… oh well…

No one is going in on Ange more than me on this forum right now. He's * me off. I have a bit of dignity and class though. I don't to berate the man or his appearance to make myself feel better.

You fire in though like a silly wee boy.

Is Jesse Marsch an appointment that fans would be over the moon about in terms of excitement? No.

But is he the absolute catastrophic horror appointment that people are making it out to be? Also no.

A lot of parroting opinions. I agree, as I said in an earlier post, I wouldn't be hugely excitement about him being appointed, but people need to realise that him managing us is far closer in terms of similarity to his time at Salzburg, rather than being at Leipzig or Leeds.

His style didn't have much success when he wasn't managing a powerhouse of the league, not to say that Leipzig aren't a very good side. But Salzburg are a far closer comparison to us - in terms of being the dominant side in the league, with far superior players. His style can work very well in that situation, as he showed at Salzburg. Now, again, I'm not saying that it makes him a good appointment -- there are plenty managers out there who can play attacking football when they're managing the best team in the league.

But people crying out that like it would be some horrific appointment on par with the Ronny Deila appointment is just silly.

An appointment can be a little underwhelming without it being "awful".

I hate to say it but I just don't think we'll get better than Ange.

It just feels like it will be downhill from here. I hate to be negative but it's the way I see it.

    Great, I will.

Not that I need your permission btw.

He’s that fat Aussie bloke who managed us from henceforth….

Same, when Van Dijk left us I thought that we'll probably never see that level of player again in the rest of our lives, we've not got the money and you need to get lucky as *. The way he strolled it up here and could probably have been a midfielder, winger or striker and been the best in the League.

Ange is the same to me, football sensational, taking over an absolute mess and it only took about 2 months before we were quality and that was even still with half a squad and a * team. The style of play, the signings, even selling good players and replacing them without breaking sweat about it.

We've basically seen world class management and we probably never will again.

Even Rodgers is way off his level yet probably one of the best we could get.

Guardiola i'd say is the greatest ever but even thinking if he came in, in summer 2021 I wouldn't have put money on him to have done as good a job as what happened.

I’ve got a bad feeling it could be a wee while before someone is named as new manager.

Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think the board would have had options at this point because they didn’t think something like this was going to happen.

    Nah, he wasn’t that good.

If he was that good, he wouldn’t have sent us out to get pumped in Europe so often. Just like Rodgers did.

That’s not the mark of a genius manager.

He did a solid job domestically with football that was fun to watch. Too many people go over the top with the adulation.

I don’t think it’s impossible for us to find another manager who can win the league in style and maybe even make a better fist of the European games.

Really up to DD and the board to make a smart well thought out appointment.
