IF he's appointed, I'd get behind him. But he's not the guy I think we should go for.

I would welcome him back. Managers come and go, that's just the reality of football.

But i would obviously prefer someone else.

He shouldn't even be in consideration because of the way he left us hanging dry. He's not got a likeable personality, and we know with the Danny McGrain story he's a liar too. We really want someone back who can't be trusted?

Football was great in his 1st season then the goals dried up, scored less than a Sevco side with Waghorn upfront that finished behind Aberdeen. It was way too possession based - watching the back 4 pass it around isn't fun. He improved almost every player he inherited from Deila, though it could argued some of the signings like Shved weren't his, in the main they were dreadful.

This is how I feel too. There’s more than one dimension to it. Just asking blankly, ‘would I take him back?’ - yes, but I’d prefer at least two or three others over him. If it was him or Coyle/Lambert/heaven knows who else? Rodgers any day.

I don't have the level of hate some have for him, same way I'm not shouting at clouds about Ange leaving, however I don't want him back simply because I want to see the style of football we've seen over the last couple of years maintained.

A young, forward thinking, attack minded yet pragmatic manager is what I want....just need to find the * now.

If the question is only Rodgers then no, however...

If it comes down to something like Neil Lennon, or those other names on the shortlist (Which all look boring as *) then yes, because the fact is he's the better manager than all of those names.

No. Even ignoring the * way he left us, his recruitment was shambolic and things were well on their way to becoming stale before he left. All vs a far poorer huns side than there is now.

He has a special place in our history for what he achieved, but that’s the way it should stay.

Can I ask to the people who said no, what does that mean? Boycott games and give up your ST or just be unhappy?

Serious question btw not looking to wind anyone up or start anything

Would I want him back, no.
    Not at all.

If he was to come back, then of course I'd get over my reasoning and back him. But there would be zero trust.

I think he would need to come in and he more honest than he has ever been before.

Give him a two year deal, contractually we won't allow him to talk to other clubs. He does his two years, then collectively we decide if he wants to remain for another two years. And so forth.

His choice then, use us as a stepping stone again, where we know at least for the two years we get decent football (although not as sexy as Ange), winning titles, then can move on if he wants with no illusions or anything.

You know what actually, while thinking about it - I'd make him a director of football to be honest. If he was done with management.

I assume with most it's just them stating they don't want. I reckon everyone would get behind whoever is appointed though.

Not my choice tbh but if he came back I wouldn’t be disappointed. We’re all very clear on who we’re getting and would all be fully aware what could happen half way through a season.

He’d do well again I’m sure though, possible redemption opportunity in there with some fans if he pumps that lot and does decent in Europe.

Think the Poll title needs to be changed. Most are probably voting no they wouldn't want him back I don't either but I voted yes as ultimately I would accept it.

Not accepting it in my view any means you would take some action against it I.e not go to games etc.

I don't really have a choice in the matter and would be incredibly disappointed in the board if they reappointed him.

For what he'd end up doing to the squad wouldn't be worth the long term effects and disharmony his bullshit will create.

I can't believe that some supporters on here would even consider it. Taking Brendan Rodgers back is like taking your wife back after she's been willingly been gang banged by a bunch of Huns while waving at you. There has to be a level of self respect here towards ourselves and tell the likes of that * to get to *! The selfish * * off during a very important time in our season when we were trying to achieve something no club has ever done in the UK. Yes we did win that treble but his selfishness had the potential to derail it. If he has of stayed till end of season like Ange, he'd have all our well wishes but the way he left us, he's up there with mo Johnson so for that, I don't want that * anywhere near our stadium again let alone managing us.

We move on to new things and explore other options and when this thread filters out, I hope all our supporters see sense and vote no!
