he was decent at Leicester in Europe. Everyone need to give their head a wobble if you look at list of replacements he’s easily the best coach out of that list.

if anyone knows anything about football they can see that. His past actions were ridiculous but is Ange not the same I’d he takes coaching staff and the quote pish he spouted? People need to stop being bitter look at the list of coaches proper and realise he’s the only decent name on that list who’s won multiple things etc.

he’s managed in the elite level of the epl and at elite clubs like Liverpool and us for years. took Leicester to 2x 5th place finishes a European semi final won an FA Cup with them. If anyone else had that CV coming to Celtic off the back of that you’d be buzzing.

relegation at Leicester no investment at the end sold his best players never fully replaced but you enjoy Moyes and Clarke ball while I expect a gaffer of his level who has decent credentials

Letting Rodgers come back exposes us to the risk of him doing the same thing he did once before. No thanks.

He can't break down teams that park the bus for a start. He had about 6 or 7 0-0 draws at home in his 2nd season. He got away with it because the huns had * Pedro and Murty in charge. Slippy appears and they start to put up a slight challenge mostly down to him because we drop 18 points before Christmas in his last season. He won't repeat the invincible season because he barely came anywhere close to repeating it himself.

    Rodgers isn't the answer.

Much rather push the boat out and pay Knutsen whatever we'd offer to Rodgers

And who’s to say he’s not learned a bit more being away see our fans they’re so fickle.

Glad you’re all happy to settle for someone like Moyes or Clarke over him. Those other names give me PTSD if you look at the list point out who’s more qualified than Rodgers who’s won more than him?. Why can’t we give him 2 years and build the club up like get a DOF in get the structure with a good manager on board.

Lennon isn’t Clarke isn’t etc take the way he left out of it and he is the one on that list who stands out as the most effective and better coach.

Rodgers is one of the best candidates HOWEVER after Mcginn saga would you think he would want to come here and trust the board again?

He improved most of the squad he inherited but outwith Sinclair & Edouard his signings were terrible. Look at the amount of players who made zero impact - Compper, Bayo, Mulumbu, Toljan, Arzani, Benyu, De Vries etc. Brought back a finished Izaguirre too. £4.5m on Ntcham who we let go nothing. Would we trust him not to waste millions again?

neither do I but at least with Rodgers he’s know the size of the clubs the pressures of managing us expectations etc.

Most on that list would crumble potentially in that. I’m saying he’s the most qualified candidate on that list. I hated the way he left us, but in terms of the Huns strengthing etc other managers might not of managed in that pressure environment. He has and done it relatively well for us.

All I’m saying is of the names linked he’s the one who when you put everything together has the tools to cope best with it

We had two 0-0 draws that season prior to him leaving.

8 home games we scored once or not at all. I remember we'd often go long periods without creating any chances, some of the games were so dull.

We had two 0-0 draws the season he left and we dropped 18 points. His second season We had 6 or 7 0-0 draws and won 24 games

Ntcham wasn’t terrible. Roberts he resigned aswell Kolo Toure wasn’t the worst technically Dembele aswell. some of his signings were terrible yeah but I think we’ve improved our recruitment system since he’s been gone and the structures so why not see who comes in.

I don't think he was worth the £4.5m at all, played well once every 5 games. Shouldn't get credit for extending Roberts loan. Toure played a handful of matches for us and barely made an impact. Dembele deal was already in place, nothing to do with him.

All I’m saying is as mentioned above he knows the pressures and the challenges of managing us. Aswell as the expectations some of the others have never been in that environment he’s tactically pretty good aswell.

We have Mark Lawwell in place who's sole job is head of recruitment. Only time will tell but it should mean we don't have the same recruitment issues we had under Rodgers previously

A name I was keen on from last time was Leanardo Jardim.

Has since worked in Saudi Arabia where he won league, cup and Asian champions league and then moved on to UAE where he's just won the league again.

He'll be on mega money over there but he may fancy a return to Europe

He’s tactically sh!te mate. His European games proved that…

And what pressure are you talking about? He managed us when there was no real prospect of us losing the league. Very little pressure compared with what previous managers faced.

I don’t see why you’re making it a choice between Rodgers or Clarke/Moyes… you know full well that’s not the depth of choices available to us.

I’d never have rodgers back. Even if he hadn’t walked out on us mid-season, he’s just got a decent squad of players relegated and was clearly only interested in a big payout at the end too. The man is a snake and hugely overrated in his coaching ability.
