It's a weird one. If we appoint Rodgers, I think we win the league next year 100%

The problem is everything else. The recruitment, how he originally left, some of his past comments and how we'd fair after the first season.

He's far ahead of the likes of Brown, Kennedy and Muscat for me, but I would hope we'd have others properly scouted.

I actually have a bit of faith in the board that they won't go back to the boring names that always get linked. I'm hoping that the Ange experiment has shown the club that casting the net wide can be beneficial.

I wouldn't be shocked if it's Rodgers but I don't want him. His football was becoming stale and his signings for his last few windows were largely dire. Plus the way he left and his all round personality are an instant no no.

I'd love Knutsen but I reckon he'd turn it down. Think he's happy at Bodo.

Potter would probably be my first choice in that case.

Castagne was too expensive and that was one of the problems with Congerton . He couldn't find decent players that we could afford. He was looking in the market as if we were in the EPL

The benefit of Ange staying, beyond him being a very good manager, is that we would have been in a great position to capitalise on any early slipups Sevco experienced with their changed squad. Now we're gonna be in a similar situation of hoping we can hit the ground running.

Rodgers would likely be the safest appointment, knowing the club and league well. But Knutsen, if available and interested would be a much more exciting hire, and probably offer greater potential too.

I don't know enough about Muscat to pass comment tbh. It genuinely will be interesting to see how we take to Rodgers cos I'm genuinely not sure I could stomach listening to his absolute *. Where is Danny Mcgrain these days anyway?

Muscat is a decent manager tbh, he's just an absolute vile * who also played for the huns.

    This.

Actually surprised at the amount who’d seemingly be happy to welcome him back.

I don't see how Rodgers is a safe appointment when if he loses a game early everyone will immediately get on his back. Part of his success the first time was built on hitting the ground running and the enthusiasm that came with it.

I’d genuinely take Muscat over going back to Rodgers. Seriously.

Really no idea who's out there aside from the names mention, the board are no mugs and they'll have known this for a while and have targets in mind. We can't afford to drag our feet and I hope they have an appointment imminent

Half glass full here, this never sat well with me when I read about it. He wasn't particularly hands on with the squad which makes me question how good can you really be if you just delegate and let them get on with it. Hopefully this translates that none of the squad will hold any sort of attachment to him. I'm possibly grasping, I know.

We have never been a more attractive prospect when searching for a new manager. World is our oyster here ; the playing squad ,foundations , infrastructure and finances are there for someone to take us to the next level. Over to you board.....

Love playing for him is not the same thing as loving him. Many have said they rarely see him and almost never talk to him.

Daizen is the only one that seems to have a bond with him.

The reactions of some of those players yesterday would say otherwise
