    A new round of talks being scheduled for the next 24/48hrs being reported? So that wording indicated that there was previous talks, so Ange has been string us and the players along then?

    That's pretty much the point, mate. Are you saying things because you actually mean them or are you saying them because you hope they achieve some outcome, such as, in your example, not being slated or (much more likely) trying to leave all options open in case the Spurs deal doesn't go how you hope? Many of us thought he was the former kind of person. I don't think anyone does now.

    I think the board will have also learned from appointing someone just because they're a Celtic man. On the plus side, other promising managers will be looking at us and thinking, if I can win a treble there, my reputation will increase dramatically.

    Don't agree with a lot of the criticism at present but I do agree with this to some extent. Although perversely I'd say it is a bigger criticism of the overall management than anything.
