Rodgers will not be the next Celtic manager, highly doubt Muscat will either.

He is a good manager but think he will be looking for a lower end EPL gig tbh.

Thought his team was really poor in the final against them.

    Great penalty takers though.

Think it's clear for players and managers we are a stepping stone. This is a good and bad thing. Good in that we can be a clear path to move on and we win trophies and in Europe each year. This allows us to maybe bring in some players/managers that usually wouldn't look twice at Scottish football.

The downside of this is if they do succeed they stay 2 or 3 season at a maximum.

It's how we fit into modern football sadly

Unfortunately a skill not required at celtic. Unless he knows how to sign a keeper who can save them...

Only manager I'd have back who's managed is ronny tbh. He got the gig way to soon but is again making waves and finally back to Europe. Too late now he's signed already for another team, however I can see him do great. An all round Nice guy aswel and imo wouldn't stab you in the back.

I liked Ronnie as a person but his football was absolutely torture to watch at times dull as * during a period in which we had little to no competition

Finals rarely see top performances though. Overall though i loved the passion and tactics he generally instilled at frankfurt

Plus I'm Not a big believer in bringing back managers that have had a go already. One of the reasons I was so against Lennon.

Ronny got * over by the board. Had 10p as a transfer budget and was forced to take in some of the worst loan players we've ever seen and I grew up in the 90's

Yeah he oversaw a period of downsizing because there was no threat to the league really, when the new huns got promoted and Rodgers came on board the wage bill went through the roof.

The number one prospect in Oz right now is Nick Montgomery.

I'd hate him to leave my club (Central Coast) but he's in hot demand after taking the smallest club in the league to the championship and is straight out of the Ange playbook in playing style. If he has to leave the Mariners then I'd love him to go to Celtic.

Cut his teeth as the junior development manager then promoted several of his prodigies into the first team when made manager. So successful was his academy that youngsters from all over Australia now flock to the Mariners because they know the prospect of first team football is real there.

As a player, Monty played 400 times for Sheffield Utd before coming to the Mariners as a player. Great bloke also and very ambitious. Would be fabulous at Celtic but he is English and I know for him the EPL is where he wants ultimately to be.
