Talk about money is wide of the mark imo. I don't think money is the main motivation behind him leaving.

Aside the money Ange will want to test himself in a better League, he has great belief in his own ability so it's understandable.

I don't feel as bitter as i did when Rodgers * off before the season ended.

Obviously if he goes to spurs he'll get a huge wedge but aye, people acting like greed is the only motivation here are just being daft/bitter, taking a crack at the EPL with a potential top 6 side is a huge job for any ambitious manager.

Spurs only need to finish 5th next season to make champions league, as if he’d knock back that opportunity or no back himself to achieve it

It's a competitive league, and there are factors outside of his control that would make the job very hard.

They knocked 2 of our last 3 managerial appointments out of the park. This is the chance to prove that the first and the 3rd one are how we do things now and the second one was just a blip.

So is restoring our European credibility.

Something I thought the manager aspired to as well.

Biggest factor for me is....when he came here essentially said, maybe moreso the aussie fans here, give me 1 year to instill my methods, season after you'll see the rewards.

But if spurs ended up sitting 10th coz the players won't buy in to anges style he'd get sacked. Harsh nature of the epl, and top level, is players have too much influence.
Ange however doesn't take * and that's also another hurdle go get over.

I expect him to have talks with Spurs today and things will move forward from there.

I can't agree with this. I ***ing loved MON for that. He didn't pester Ange or press him to answer. He simply said (very respectfully!) that everyone at the club wants him to stay, squeezed his shoulder and left it at that. I think he pitched it perfectly. You can see MON really cares.

I've not actually turned on him it's pretty obvious this is a chance to basically set his family up for life with the money he'll get even if it goes * up. It is true though that the adulation of supporters and winning trophies is something that he won't get with them though

True but increased competition is just an attraction to anyone with ambition, they have no European football so he’ll have a free run at it every week in terms of training and tactics, levy is a complete cancer but in modern football no one in Scotland is knocking a job like that back

Having seen a clip on how Levy wanted to boot Harry Kane for 600K, and hearing of other bad things at Tottenham, I can see Ange walking away in frustration from the negotiating table.

I think a lot of moods are on ‘simmer’ right now…
Mainly in the hope it comes to nothing….

But I feel certain that general mood will shift towards bitterness if/once it is confirmed.
