If Ange was staying he would've said so a while back, instead we've had a build up to the cup final of uncertainty amid all the speculation that's been out there, it's taken the sheen off of a fantastic achievement winning another treble.

That's the really disappointing thing for me, all this has marred our success and ability to fully enjoy what we have achieved.

    That was a league game.

We had to go to Easter Road in the cup the following week I believe.

Your point probably still remains though.

Ange also had to rebuild the squad from scratch while losing our best players and while the huns had just won the league unbeaten.BR practically worked with the squad he inherited and was up against a sevco team in their first year in the league

Nonsense. Only need to look at the Scottish Cup semi final 2 months before his appointment to see the gap was essentially gone. Similar to just now in that they * feel they are close to us (delusional fuckwits).
Squad is better than it was back then and he's a guy with a proven track record of initially improving teams over his 1st 12 - 24 months. We just need to hope someone comes in for him before he tries to rebuild in year 3

Hi, SD. Been meaning to come back on since about half way through Ange's first season but never quite got round to it. But today I was just feeling too gutted about it not to share my feelings. It really is a very disappointing end to the two years. I'm OK, thanks. Genuinely hope you are too.

Unless playing devils advocate he is just trying to spook the board into giving him the budget he wants for Europe next season.

After hearing his press conference I think we are all in agreement that he’s off , barring something spectacular happening when he meets Levvy. Spurs aren’t a tin pot club and he’d be leaving us for the most lucrative league on the planet. Spurs can’t get any more * than they are right now but they still command a top 4 aura. It’s the perfect recipe for Ange. He’d look at it as an opportunity to get them back top 4 which would be seen as huge success to everyone at spurs. Factor in the salary and prestige attached to this and I don’t think any of us could begrudge him of that. I don’t doubt for a second that he loves the club and all that goes with with it, and taking the spurs job doesnt change that. Just look at Tierney. He should go with our best wishes, as hard as that sounds. We are Celtic, Managers and players will come and go. It’s us, and only us, that are the only constant that will be around forever.

You sure? Thought that was the quarter final or something :giggle1:

In my defence I can hardly remember my own name somedays so things from years ago I’ve no chance.

I think he’s earned the right to be selfish at this point, he took us from turmoil to CL football with 5 trophies in 2 seasons.

He’d be foolish to not even think about the Spurs offer and have a chat with them, I don’t believe he’s even talked to them yet so not as if he’s already out the door.

Can’t help but feel a bit of an anti-climax to winning a historic treble, that’s my main gripe just now.

Why have spurs bypassed a manager like Rodgers who has plenty of EPL experience, to go for Ange ?

Did you just ignore the part where I said anything can happen in a one off cup game? Their first season up ended with 67 points, us on 106, their squad was a joke, we're calling them * now and they finished on 92 points, the gap when Rodgers came in was massive.
