Is there ultimately any major difference between him and Rodgers then? I know he isn't away and I'm in the glass half full side in that he's staying. But it's all there. The positive glowing words about the club, the fans, the passion, building something. Selling the vision. Yet Rodgers may actually be here longer than Ange.

There's a strong case for arguing Rodgers was right to go. He had fallen out wi Lawell who is a Levy type character, who wants the control. Their relationship was damaged beyond repair. If that was the same in anyone else's work relationship they'd go as well.

Just a thought. I wasn't actually that upset when BR left. I know his goal was to get back down south. In a way, his time here is similar to Ange's. Came in from a relatively low period (Ange's base point far far lower) moulded us squad, Dembele-Eddie / Kyogo -Jota. Both played some good football (Ange's is better imo) and BR time in Europe much the same as Ange's. In the end both similar and successful.

I've learned a lot about our club, managers and players in the past 5 years starting wi Tierney going. I'm not that attached to individuals, but my love for the club grows more every year and I only want whats best for the club and its fans, who will be here forever.

I hope the big man's stays and gets the contract and backing he deserves, if not he's right, vwe don't stop and we move on. My hope is now its Nicholson and Lawell jnr at the front, there's lessons be learned from the shower fiasco and we're on the front foot the moment it's done.

Anyway, a treble needs won tomorrow. Then the big guys decision.

“They’re only ever on tv against the big clubs; the middle of the road clubs or the relegation fodder…” As opposed to who else mate? :43:

Face the reality, we cannot compete with the EPL.

Just playing devil's advocate again - if he doesn't change his gun ho approach for the CL / Europa, we may well get flattened again and if we're out of Europe again by Christmas that won't do him any good (saying he achieves the treble tomorrow)

    Just cant get enough
Frimpong has a chance, agree with that.
Did Jock Brown make it back on to Scotsport? That might count.

Complex question. Greed. Validation. Insecurity ( which paradoxically only worsens as the richer people get the less secure they feel thinking they need to protect it and 'grow it" so they're "not going backwards". Never about need.

They're questions speculating about the future that he's always binned, and says he's focused on the game ahead same as always.

Again it's weird that fans expect anything different, he's been completely consistent with this sort of thing, why you think he's going to flatly confirm/deny or hold your hand this time is beyond me. He's staying or he's going, those are the two options, and he is and was never going to comment either way when we still have a trophy to win, fans reading all the * press all week and getting raging about it isn't going to change his thinking or make him answer questions differently.

Think Brown was last seen selling rain down the Barras.

After “trading” Di Canio for Blinker he thought anything was possible.

He’s gonna find out the hard way at spurs that his philosophy will need to take back seat he will get them playing amazing against the other sides but he’s gonna have to rain it in against other if he wants to achieve any success

Agreed and I don't see that chnaging. Interesting that when he coached the National team at the WC in 2014 he just went for it. 3 group games, Zero points, -6 GD. The other leading contemporary manager in Aus is Graham Arnold. Complete opposite. Conservative, rigid defensive organization, some say boring, but at the 2022 WC 6 points, nearly got a result against Argentina.

Blimey - you can see some potential humpings coming actually - There's another thing to factor in as well, will those massive over paid primadona egos run and run and run like our lads? I can see a lot of unhappy primadona's going eff that. Anyhoo 5 year Celtic contract incoming!
