Too much of a gamble currently, I was fine with him when he was originally linked but his Parma stint wasn't great either.

Realistically if he was to go I think we would be looking at

    Marsch
    Rodgers
    Michel
    Kennedy

    possibly Muscat ?

Long may the trend of Muscat replacing Ange continue. Can you imagine the amount of Huns * that would boil? Worth it alone for that.

I pray Ange stays but if he goes the first time anyone on here will know who the new gaffer is, is when he's holding the scarf over his head.

    Gérardo Seoane too. Or Knutsen.

Guys who've had success in Europe with smaller (by some margin) budgets than ours and played good football at the same time.

Yep, plenty of guys out there who have achieved European success with smaller budgets and weaker squads than ours (Gio the dwarf).
As good as Ange has been I still have serious doubts about us in europe under him next season. This year we got as good a draw as we've had in many years and still finished bottom of the group. Year before we were regularly losing 3 and 4 in Europa league. We even got a spanking in the conference.
Although maybe I'm just telling myself all this to soften the blow

No you are not, you are telling the truth.
Sick of playing open attractive football in Europe and getting spanked all the time.
Someone on here posted the other day that the Huns have been in two UEFA Finals in the last fifteen years..
    Is that true ?
If so, we should be able to do that too.

Aye its true. To make it sound even worse the huns have reached 2 European finals since we last won a knockout tie in europe (19 years ago). David Marshall has played nearly 700 games since that night in barca

Scandalous. No defending that. We are a joke in Europe. The next manager needs to rectify that.

Aye and that winning almost everything domestically that gets so boring. I mean sign me up to 2 trophies in how many years ? in exchange to lose 1 final that's defo the way forward

Just watched the open goal interview, my mind is probably 70% that he’s off now, but who knows.

Aye we’re a joke in Europe :giggle1:, we’re one of something like 20 clubs to have won the European cup and been runners up as well in 1970, but aye.

Ffs mate. 50 odd year ago. The last 20 years havnt been good enough for a club our size. A lot of that is on the board but each manager takes some of the blame too

What does it matter if it happened last year or 50 odd year ago? We still done it. Do you look back on the achievements in your own life and diminish them because they were in the past? * up :giggle1:
