Feels like Spurs have went quiet on the managerial search. Almost as if they’re waiting for the week to finish :fear:

Man having nightmares he is going to do that dreaded "I've left the club in a good place" speech. Spurs rumors still bubbling, hope club is doing everything they can to keep him here another season. Time for Rodgers to redeem himself and take one for the team and take the spurs job instead.

Ange has had ample opportunities to come out and tell us that he is staying BUT he hasn't and that for me is a worry...

One big difference they have an owner who's a control freak. If Ange failed because of that they would tear him to pieces in the media. As someone said good managers have came and went there without success.

Major changes like that affect share prices and business in general. It would totally rock the foundations of what he has built and all the future plans if he were to come out with something along those lines. That all said I'm now of the mind he's not going to Spurs........one thing the man isn't is a fool.

Every manager has gone there without success.. Spurs are a nothing club. They have EPL money now but so does everyone else down there..

Ange coming out before the end of the season and publicly stating that he is staying would only serve to reduce his position of strength in negotiating a new contract, as well as asking the board to push the boat out on transfers.

I don't think it would be outside the realms of possibility that people can take an educated guess on how Ange operates.

Based on what I've heard of him and how he speaks etc... I think he'll see out 1 more season here... then leave. But feel like he could easily get interest outside of England for a new position. Could see him doing amazing things in Germany as an example.

I've said it enough now though but the only two jobs that scare me if they become available are Brighton and Brentford. Those are my two exceptions in EPL that I feel could, fairly, sway Ange to leave us earlier than originally hoped during next season.

This is the ultimate fear. He has not dispelled the rumours.DD has been here for talks with Ange.
The Spurs job would seem the ideal carrot on a stick for him in the EPL, if Levy offers him it.
I'm sure the club have done their due dilligence, if the worse comes to the worse.

If Ange leaves after hopefully completing a treble.

Then I've got zero issues with any of it... the way he has handled himself, overall, I don't think you could ever really fault him on leaving at that point.

He's seen he has 1 more thing to do, does it, then goes, * all wrong with that and is probably more testament to the his character in that he never stops!

If come lifting that trophy he then announces he's leaving and it is actually going to be for Spurs.

I would be desperately sad as I thought he could make history with us in Europe. But say what you want about Spurs, he'd do a fantastic job there.

And I'd argue Spurs will be more successful as a unit the minute Kane is sold.

Pretty much my feelings on it too biggest worry is who he comes back for but apparently spurs have that committee * that most epl teams seem to have

DD doesn't appear when a manager is leaving. He doesn't try and convince them to stay if their mind us already made up

One other angle on this that I’ve been reminded of this morning; Ange seen first hand last summer the type of character Levy is while we were attempting to close the CCV deal and he was not happy at all with how matters were dealt with. For a man who values character as much as Ange does, that will have weight in any decision.

If there has been any approach from Spurs whatsoever though, Celtic are not aware of it.

Not to discredit any of our players but I don't think there is anyone in our squad that Spurs would sign off on... now unless Son is sold as well as Kane.

Maybe there is an argument for Jota but just don't see who he'd take from us in all honesty.

The market he can play in will be at a higher level than what he had with us financially so I feel like they'd find more established players at higher fees.

He has unfinished business with us, we haven’t had that signature campaign in Europe that he will be remembered for that he has alluded to wanting to provide. I think that is what will keep him here. Domestically he has nothing left to prove once the treble is sewed up.
