Potter would be a hard sell - Chelsea and Spurs fans hate each other more than they hate Millwall! It's a strange rivalry.

I still think he'll be here for one more season. Opinion hasn't changed.

If Spurs offer him the job he 100% takes it.

No manager in Scotland would refuse that.

There's loads of factors to consider. Champions League football, being your own boss, being loved by the fans, a secure job compared to being a slave, being hated by the fans, to no champions league footy to possibly being sacked like Potter. It's the same for anyone in any job. Do you go work for a bigger company but possibly have a shittier time and get sacked? I don't think it's that cut and dry but we'll see. Also, this whole thread has a distinct Sniff Sniff to it!

He's 57 though, he wont have many more chances to go to the PL and he especially wont have many to get an opportunity at a top 6 side. This is by far the best opportunity any manager in Scotland has been given if he's given it.

At the end of the day if Ange wants to show what he can do at the highest level (which I think he does at some point) then he'll need to accept the possibility of getting sacked. I don't think that would deter him when he finally does make the move

    He will have plenty.

He's ONLY 57, another decade in management at least.

He spends another year here, finishing what he started - something he seems to be keen on doing as a person.
He proves his ability and his football ideas to work in the UCL with a club like us - he then gets what ever job he wants (within reason).

EPL jobs for the top 8 are up for grabs every few months, let alone jobs in Spain, France, Italy and Germany, where he would happily give a shot at as well.

If he is legit being sought after by Spurs after what he has done at Celtic in just two seasons, then can you imagine what jobs he gets if he wins another double next year and takes us to the last 16 of the UCL?

I'd also wonder, seriously, how serious the Spurs interest actually is.

Rodgers, back to back trebles with us - was one slippy G moment away from an EPL title with Liverpool - the best he could get was a one hit wonder Leicster side coming for him.
Are we to believe Ange has better stock at this time? Perhaps he does, perhaps his name holds more weight and his style is more sought after. But it will still be the case a year from now in my opinion.

A year, where he gets to "finish what he started" as such. Which is to prove his football and HE himself is good enough.
A flash in the pan to EPL and Spurs, to potentially ruin his trajactory? Nah, surely not.
Another year here, prove he can do it in Europe, then your Spurs and better are still chapping the door and he goes with self pride, belief etc.

How far off has Ange got us to be a 'competitive champions league team?

For example when he joined, he had to sell Ajer, Christie, Eddie to fund his revolution.
But say he didn't and they bought into his vision and signed new deals along with his current signings.

I believe we would be a KT away from a team capable of qualifying from a group.

    Harte
    Johnston
    CCV
    Ajer
    KT
    Mcgregor
    Hatate
    O'Reily
    Jota
    Kyogo
    Eddie

Starfelt, Taylor, Iwata, Mooy, Christie, Maeda, Oh as subs

So we need to back the man or risk losing him. We should be all pulling the same direction. We have the finance but my concern is we also have Peter Lawwell.

    Just can't get enough
Just watched his Sky Sports interview earlier, didn't get what I wanted to hear tbh. Would have liked him to say he wants to be here next season. Keeping his options open with the sounds of it, which is fair enough.

So you went from us backing Ange completely and what signings he’s wanting on Wednesday afternoon. To saying Ange is 100% going on Wednesday night and that you had known that for about a week. To now saying its a feeling that he’s goin? Which one is it?

That's the thing for me, he is this close to being able to take Celtic to the level he wants to be, the level he knows we can be, it's a job half done if he walks out now (I wont be as mad as Rodgers doing it mid season, but I don't think Ange would want to quit now).

Too much has been done, where he has gone so far, with so much to prove and so close to doing it, I honestly think the man has more respect and pride in himself to see this out one more season to prove it all.
