Ange has enough of an ego to demand a hefty level of control in a club's football sphere. Celtic let him have it. Tottenham won't. He will stay.

If Spuds offer him the job he'll go if they don't he will stay.

Personally don't think he'll be offered it anyway

Has he got a press conference today? Easy to squash any talk.

If he tries to avoid then something in it

Two managers who have also been successful just about everywhere they've been bar Tottenham. Could be reasons for that.

At any rate, to pick up on a previous point you made, I don't think Rodgers darting at the first opportunity to Leicester is necessarily a sign that Ange will do the same. Rodgers always seemed desperate to get back to England. Ange on the other hand has always spoken about his dream of managing a big club in Europe, which Celtic is. I'm sure the Premier League is appealing, but I just don't think it's the be all and end all for him like it is to Rodgers or Gerrard.

They were linking him with moves away earlier in the season and I think Kennedy (or Strachan?) came out and took the presser, almost as if it was a * you to them because Ange knew that's all the questions would be about.

Tottenham won't offer him the job, so that's moot. If they did, he'd be away, let's not make any bones about it. You'd be mental to turn down that kind of job.

Ye most defo as was most likely bernabei. What I meant by my initial comment was I get the impression Ange isn't happy with who will be allowed leave the club this window and the back ups (even if they are Ange signings) are nowhere near reliable enough. They have shown this clearly since the league was won and although I think Ange fully grasps the extend of the drop off away from the starting team id imagine maybe the board are a bit more cavalier regarding the squad strength.

I.e "Sure ange you'll be grand if we let hatate go!! We got you iwata".

"If 17+ is on the table for ccv he's gone, but sure you can get a loan in and your developing Yuki" etc.. the club take the success, develop the talent and sell on periodically with that comes peaks and troughs of squad strength.. think Ange was planning his squad would continue going from strength to strength and cl this season coming would be probably the peak of this squad. Selling some of our best players will obviously scupper that and most likely seriously * Ange off

Potter at 12/1 looks like serious value. He ticks all the boxes for levy. He will do what he's told and he will generally appease the fans

You're talking like the squad is being actively sold out from under Ange and he's being given nothing to replace players with, based on what exactly? The man himself has said from the start don't get too attached to players, there's going to be a lot of turnover and that's what he intends to keep building forward and keep the squad hungry and fresh.

Could have just simply ruled it out but didn’t proceeded to say he’s concentrating on the next two games

He’s offski and the players have downed tools because of it

Or it could mean he's concentrating on us and doesn't give a * to answer rumours, he never gives our rags anything.
