Spurs fans won’t stand for it if they sign ange. To them signing a manager from our league is below what/where they think they should be. Although Levy is a * I can’t imagine him wanting to get off to a bad start from the beginning of the season with anything other than a “big name” appointment.

for that reason only, can’t see it happening. Although If like others have said, spurs get the Brighton manager..can see ange going to Brighton. They seem to hold the values he looks for in a club. Will be about to rake some huge fees in for 3/4 players so will have funds to spend. Can see that happening this summer if any time

 

Hold on how many managers is that spurs have went for that have said thanks but no thanks is that three there must be something in that and ange isn't daft if these other managers have said no then why would ange be the one to say aye I reckon it will.be Rodgers ange is here for another year or 2

 

Someone will take it, Spurs will be a good pay day. But there are issues, they are expected to lose their main goal scoring threat who in a bad season scores 25. There is no European football which could give them a chance to regroup may actually put players off joining. They haven't made a great signing in a good few years either. Judging from how Conte left there is issues higher up to. If anybody takes this job it's for the pay day as I can't see it going well.

 

Mourinho and conte both called levy a * in recent days.

If Spuds offer him the job he will be off.. simple as. We cannot even with regular CL football compete with the money circus and profile down south.

Not sure Spuds are a great option.. Levy is a total * and their fans are deluded wanks that think they are a big club that should be competing for the league and more.

 

CL football and a stable club where a CEO/ owner does not interfere are precisely why we can compete with Spurs. Ange knows he couldn't work under a guy like Levy.

Meanwhile I had a peek at the Spurs forums and they're being inundated by know-it-all Aussies telling them how good Ange is. Suck * Spurs!!!

 

Tbf I heard this last week and didn't think much of it.

Does seem to be gathering legs in the media, but until Spurs have made an official approach its all really just speculation.

 

I beg to differ. We couldn't complete with Leicester to keep Brenda. Like it or not the premier league is the place to be for players and managers.

It's one of the only bad points in supporting Celtic, we lose our top players and managers to England and bigger leagues. Its just a fact of life now

 

I don't know what Leicester's board are like. But working environment matters, and at Tottenham it is toxic. Besides, Ange has no EPL experience. He won't be offered huge money yet, certainly not by Levy.

 

Define huge money, teams down south can offer double/triple the wages we do without blinking an eye.

 

I'd say triple is huge. But they won't. Ange would be seen as a gamble, and "undeserving" of big money.

 

They will offer him far more than what we can if they really want him. Wouldn't belive all that toxic chat either. Two disgruntled ex managers with huge egos blaming everything bar themselves.

Apparently renewing Bain’s contract was discussed with Ange prior to it being offered, but he didn’t outright approve it (nor did he disapprove) and was irked that it was finalised over his head.

There’s been no approach whatsoever from Spurs to Celtic and as recently as yesterday Ange was pushing on with plans for next season.
