Anthony Ralston

He’s the same age as AJ and I can’t see him getting much better especially with lack of game time.

I think this is where we need a good utility player that can play in midfield and defence, Hatate has played full back before so possibly an option there.

There is no calm around his game, just rough and physical. Definitely need a better option in there for next season.

 

Possible Iwata who can play right back and midfield as a utility man..

I'd like to see Iwata get a shot there at Easter Road perhaps..

Good shout about it being a versatile kinda player instead of having potentially 3 right backs in the squad..

Ange does like versatility..

 

Was thinking the same about Iwata but the best we’ve played recently has been with him in midfield so hoping he’ll start next to McGregor against Hibs.

Hoping it’s something he’s looking at, still plenty work to be done with the squad.

 

I dont necessarily think he needs a few games to get up to speed every time but he's been out injured pretty much from December to April so id think most players in that situation would be rusty.

He was rotated in a lot more last season and he was fine.

 

I think everyone can see what the issue is. He's a player that needs to play week-in week-out to have the fitness and sharpness needed to succeed at our level. He won't suit as a second string player unless he's rotated fairly regularly. Given that Ange doesn't really rotate, he's not serving a useful role in our squad right now and isn't likely to any time soon.

 

Right now he’s doing the exact role in the squad that most people thinks he fits into best, backup for Johnston.

And tbf to him he came on and did a good job in the cup semi final when he was thrown in from the cold.

 

Ralston as a back up is decent. I'd be more concerned with the CB and LB options. * has fallen out the team since CCV got injured and Bernabei just isn't very good.

Negative as *. Gets the ball inside and almost instinctively looks to go back everytime..

 

He had a purple patch but we need to get better even as a backup

 

Hate watching him, nowhere near the level we should be aiming for and no matter how much it looked like he'd improved last season he's been utter * since he came back into the side.

 

Thought he had turned a corner got injured and has regressed once again into that * players of old.

 

Mind he was better than Juranovic?

That's 4 utterly pitiful performances in a row. The guy can hardly control or pass a ball to save his life! He's a poor defender as well. No mobility. No pace.

Fans need to wake up ffs.
