Couldn't be any worse than a rusty Yuki or an out of position Iwata tbf

 

Like I said before. Not good options. Iwata shoe horned in there because we can't trust either Kobayahi or Welsh.
I'll plump for Iwata again for the Cup Final and take our chances.

 

Fair enough. Welsh has the experience which is the reason I'd pick him. What about putting Hatate in there. He played RB earlier in the season so I'd be willing to try him.

 

Hatate is off the boil too, I would be fearful of making any more changes for the Cup Final. I'm most worried about the goalkeeper spot and centre back.

Iwata is built like a fucken tank so I would keep him there for the Cup Final, maybe bring Abada in ?.

 

We've only used him in midfield before today, but Iwata has a lot more games under his belt as a CB than DM, I'd be inclined to stick with his experience and try to get him and Starfelt used to eachother over the last few games instead of changing things up again. Yuki doesn't look ready, and when was the last time Welsh played?

 

Thought he was poor today, hacking at clearances and letting the ball bounce and getting bullied a bit off Main when he's a unit himself.
Supposedly experienced at cb aswell but I wasn't impressed at all, he's looked better in his fleeting appearances in the middle.

He looks a very promising midfielder. Dunno why he’s playing CB when we have Kobayashi. Kobayashi had a poor game last week but the whole team did too. Strange.

 

Bcoz unlike kobiyashi he won japanese player of the year last season while playing centre back.

The question should really be why has it taken so long for him to get games ahead of kobiyashi at centre back

 

He surely wasn’t playing CB all season? Was he not just filling in on occasion.

 

Welsh was badly bullied when we lost to St. Mirren earlier in the season. I think another CB who is at least around Starfelt's level is a priority for next season. If we could unearth another CCV we'd be laughing.

 

The opposite. Played a lot in midfield but a wee bit more as cb.

Not many will agree with me on here based on that performance but he's a much better cb than today showed.

 

Think it was a pretty even split, maybe a few more at CB. Previous seasons he's mostly played CB, moving into midfield is relatively recent for him. SImilar with Kyogo, we've played him almost exclusively up top, but before we signed him he had more games playing out wide, different attributes suit different leagues, think Iwata 100% looks a midfielder for us going forward, but having that experience as a defender for a bit of flexibility if needed is obviously a good thing. I wouldn't judge him too hard on today, the whole team has been off it for weeks.

 

Feel sorry for him, he 100% should of been starting in that midfield.

 

Not really going to be harsh on him, as playing him vs Main was a mismatch from the start. You could see at one point, he wanted to bring a long ball down to play it on the deck, as someone was closing him down, and he looked lost.

 

From what iv read he's only recently transitioned to playing DM
Altho to be fair I think he's generally played on right of a back 3 rather than in a 2

 

We had 1 on Starfelt's level we let him leave in January for kobiyashi

 

Jenz? He got bullied by hammer throwers like Main plenty, for the size of him he was far too easily out muscled.
