Apart from Abada your only natural right wingers are James Forrest and vata so we really need to strengthen there .

We absolutely need a right winger of quality, even if Abada stays..

He's very inconsistent and quite limited at times fo be honest...despite his impressive numbers..

I dont particularly think he's effective on the left either. His strengths are in pressing and work rate, I don't think he offers much as in an attacking sense. Surely he'd be as effective on opposite side.
I get playing him there v the scum as their main threat comes from captain failure but generally I don't see why there would be much other drop off, it's not like he regularly cuts in and links with midfield or striker.

What can't be argued is that jota is far more effective on the left.

Playing ur best player out of position to compensate an inferior player seems bizarre to me.

And it least if Maeda plays on the right he mite stop shanking at least 1 cross per game 20 yards out the park bcoz he's trying to hit it 1st time on his weaker foot.

We've needed one for 10 years since Wanyama was sold.

    Haha

I'm gonna be honest. I'm not his biggest fan.

I will give an example to support my case tho....

Scottish Cup semi final, he sets up the winner from the right hand side with a pin point accurate cross right onto jotas head. If that's on the other side is anyone confident he delivers the same quality with his left foot?

You'd still get all his best attributes on the right; the work rate, the pressing etc but u mite also get more semi final moments out of him on his stronger side.

We were heavily linked with Souza and have been linked with the big south Korean DM. I think this summer he might see a need to address it.

In danger of becoming a very lightweight side.

Also signed a tank of a DM in Iwata. Think we'll see the best of hi, next year.

I want 3 guys in, and just 3 quality guys if nobody crucial leaves.

Somebody better than Starfelt and somebody better than Taylor. Rate the both of them a d both would have the potential to win a place off a quality signing brought in to replace them, but that's what we want.

The third is a challenge for Kyogo rather than a back up like Oh, another GG level of striker that you won't worry about playing infrastructure of the wee man.

That would certainly be the tried and trusted Lawwell approach to doing business. As little as possible.

I'd like 3 quality guys in that maybe cost just under £20m for the 3.

    Centre Back
    Left Back
    Right Winger

I would then like us to spend Abada/Johnstone sort of money on 2 position

    Goalkeeper
    Midfielder

Would also like a smaller fee paid to someone to come in who can play across the front 3. Mmaee has obviously been mentioned a lot over the last year or so, I still think he would be a decent signing.

I think you've misread my point.

Taylor1 was suggesting that we essentially need an entire rebuild this summer, which we don't. My point was almost everyone we bring in will challenge for their spot other than RW, who will most likely come in to start straight away, especially if Abada leaves.

Nothing Lawell about it, I hope we bring in proper talent to challenge those currently here, but that doesn't constitute a rebuild, like Taylor1 was suggesting.

Taylor1 has a penchant for panty wetting.

But there's no two ways about it, there are "gaps" that need filled, most notably in the mid and lb.

No idea how the chat about Lawell emerged, but it's more panty wetting imo.

Lawell had too much control, nobody denies that, but this is a different set up now.

Lenny was essentially in the good ol' boys club of DD, Lawell, and bankier. He rolled over and showed his belly too often.
BR quite simply wasn't trusted with recruitment. And rightly so. He can't pick a * player to save his life. I still scratch my head at how a professional football manager could sign Jack * Hendry and laud it as a coup. His influence on transfers was basically non existent by the time he jumped ship. For more evidence of the wisdom of that decision, look at his transfer record at BOTH Liverpool and Leicester. It's * abysmal.
Superb man manager, and get get blood out of a stone, but can't separate a stone from a dog *.

Ange is different ball game. He has so much credit in the bank thanks to HIS signings. The board and DD can't not trust his judgement on players, and thus, are more willing to go the extra mile if he tells them it's worth it.

The age of Lawells "you want 4m? I'll give ya 2 and a voucher for marks and Spencers" is well and truly gone.

Ppl need to wise up to that fact

The issue with Maeda is his style is either Taylor made for certain games were he is invaluable or he is completely ineffective and virtually a man down in other games ue packed defences. We need a Jota esque player on the right, this accommodating Jota to the right is no good. Abada is too inconsistent and hasn't been great when he's started this season.

I think you can doubt Ange's signings. This season hasn't been very good recruitment wise. CCV, Jota and Maeda were already here, apart from them Johnston and Mooy have only really made an impact. Iwata, Oh and Yuki can get more time but they haven't been great. Hacksa also may come good but he appears just a squad player. Siegrist and Abildgaard were outright failures.

5 or 6 players needed massive rebuilding process
