However biggest brass neck was them parading round like they’d won the league at the end....you’d honestly have the biggest ridneck in the world if that was us and the Huns were going for a treble :rofl:

The worry I have is that under Gerrard they slowly started competing with us until they began to dominate games when Lennon was manager.

Ange got to grips with that side but since Beale has arrived the games have been much tighter, even though neither team have put in good performances. We've edged it but not as convincingly as I would have hoped.

Then today they come out deserved winners by a mile. That was a disgraceful performance today. I don't want to see the same pattern repeating.

Yes we had nothing to play for and half a team out, but they started with some amount of * today as well.

We simply cannot allow them to have any hope going forward. A massive summer for both clubs coming up.

Context is everything mate, this was the huns big cup final, the only thing they could salvage from a trophyless season was a hollow victory over us, as you say with the core of our defence missing.

If this game had meaning i would be gutted at the loss and the manner of it, but truth be told i'm already looking forward tae next week and our official celebrations at CP, then the cup final will hopefully be the icing on the cake.

Spurs gave their fans the ticket money back after the mauling they got, Celtic should pay our sky bill after watching that!

Cantwell 6 or 7 obvious fouls no yellow. Mcgregor 1 foul yellow card. * wee * got the free reign to stroll about thinking he was the dogs baws. Orange * refs as usual

Mr.Beale Now.......Its reason like this why i hate results like this today.....We give them hope and it annoys me as much as i know they * it up and look like wanks....We still gave them hope and belief when i want a mauling oursleves and put that * right under the sword.

Agree with all of that, probably the one big disappointment was fring players not looking hungrier or showing something.

I'm over it, the positive (I hope) is that Ange can see some of them won't cut the mustard.

I'd also tie CCV down on a 10 year contract at 100k a week. Our defence looks bereft without him.

A bit of context here. It was a dead rubber game. The players looked switched off for the Cup Final. We played a B team.

Not making excuses, but we now know the players who are not going to make it with us now.

As I said before, this result does not define our season. League already won, still 10 points ahead and the Treble is possible.

    Perspective needed.

Shocking that btw......The penalty was debatable......The 6 fouls by She Man and nothing yet our captain does 1 tackle and was given a straight yellow.

    Two schools of thought on this;

Meaningless game with no consequences and a few first stringers out. Huns can't do it when the preasurre on, pointless to get upset. We've a treble to get over the line, and players were obviously not focused on this utter drivel.

    Or...

Got * bitched by Sevco. Too many lacking real effort and endeavour in a side we were told "never stops" and let Todd * Cuntwell make monkeys out if our entire midfield;cGergir especially. Utterly EMBARRASSING. Jury's out on this season's signings, and Ange needs to give himself a shake regarding his set up in this fixture. They've been too close for comfort for a number of fixtures now, and it needs dealing with this summer.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Not too upset, but there's red flags being waved here.

It HAS highlighted that money SHOULD be spent in the summer. And NOT on one or two back ups. A LB and striker, are essential signings. And a midfielder too imo.

Hatate is either injured or entirely checked out. And Iwata just isn't floating my boat. O'Reilly looking more and more suspect too.

I know the performance and result was not good, but sometimes when the job is already done it can be hard to get into the right mindset.

If it sounds like i'm making excuses it because i am. :56:

I think it also highlighted how much Kyogo and Maeda are important to our pressing game. Before the 1st goal, it was non-existent.

Not really that bothered, knew today would be a struggle with no Johnston and CCV. Let them enjoy their day as if this means something. :giggle1:

See it a lot in football, when you turn up with wrong attitude it ends up being a terrible result. And we definitely had the wrong attitude today
