There likely a lot of truth in that.

The chinese matchmaking scandal has defo put a spanner in the works - Bingtao and Xintong were both good to watch.

Of the old guard, its Williams i cant stand. His face actually triggers me for no particular reason than i cant stand the guy :giggle1:

Did not realise that. I remember seeing his name when I was playing in the junior tournaments back in the day, but didn't think he'd turned pro as early as that. He was always thought of in snooker circles as one that would go all the way in the game, and he has. Guy is frightening on his day.

    This cannot be denied :giggle1:

Part of me also thinks that once these guys pack it in it will pave the way for new greats. Guys will start winning tournaments more often, gain confidence and traction, become multiple times world champs in their own right and build their own legacies, x-factor and personas like the class of 92. Hopefully anyway!

Brilliant from Brecel- 7 frames on a row against O’Sullivan is some going.
Ronnie looked like he couldn’t be arsed though.

Said this last night although he kept his lead by the end of the session. Not surprised he's out seeing how he was last night.

Hopefully John can overcome Selby and go on and win it.

He seemed delighted to be out. Shame for the folk who paid to watch him this afternoon.

Nah everyone knows by now it's a lucky dip wae Ronnie, I'd say more people would be happy to see Bracel get to a semi. Boy is a great talent.

Glad O’Sullivan is out. Can’t go him at all.

The knack Selby has for not leaving a sniff of anything after missing a ball is * infuriating. He's a phenomenal player but a jammy * at times.

Seems to have magnets attached to the bulk cushion during safety battles too. Great player, boring *

I do enjoy a good safety battle, it's fascinating watching two players that are good at it. But after a while you just want to see a bit of fluency.

Never thought I'd see a more solid player than John but Selby has mastered it the *.

Pressure getting to him big time. Si is playing nervy but still looks the more composed. He is still knocking in some cracking pots.
