Cant see him going to City at all. Couldnt even see how he would get any game time there. With the greatest respect to Kang-in’s abilities, City are looking in a market a level or 2 higher than him.

 

Mallorca signed him on a free after he left Valencia. Not sure why this was, he was on the transfer list a while and they couldnt entice any bids. Suggests there may be something suspect with his character to me.

Given they got him on a free, i wonder if a bid upwards of £6m would turn their heads.

No. Valencia got rid of him despite the disappointment of the then freshly appointed Bordalas because the previous manager did not use him. Valencia's owner has been ruining the club, prioritizing money over growth on the pitch.
Kang-in has done well at Mallorca, and works for the team.

Agreed on your skepticism regarding the MCity link. They have never focused on developing players- they just buy mostly finished articles.

We would be recouping at least some of that fee on shirt sales alone as long as the boy is with us. He is definitely a star in his homeland. We took a risk with Jota and CCV, and profited. Kang-in Yi is actually more proven than they were. Paying £15m would be entirely reasonable, and £10m would be a daylight robbery of Mallorca.

 

For a midfielder that would be an ambitious target and I suspect beyond our means, Ludovic Blas (25) playing for Nantes France, 44G 18A in 152 games for them, has been a consistent performer for them for years, 11G 7A in 44 this season so mainstay in the team, plays the majority of all the teams minutes and plays across a variety of positions in CM, AM and RW and covers defensively as well so would fit in as a dynamo midfielder to make up the 3 or could be pushed up out into RW as a rotation option there too as a secondary position.

Signed for 8 mil in 2019, Valued at 18mil on Transfermarkt, going into the last year of his contract though so they may be at a willing to sell point, but I suspect he'd be going for big bucks. Salary only around 16k according to salary sport though so he'd come in as a top paid but not out of our pay range.

 

If we are looking at another loan with option to buy I think Clarkson from Liverpool would be a good shout, especially if we lose Turnbull/O’Riley. Currently on loan at Aberdeen.

Fabricio Diaz is already captain at 20 years old for Liverpool Montivideo and is only valued at £5m on transfermraket so Realistically could probably get him for around £10m or so. Would be an instant starter. Defensive midfielder

His pressing is one of his best attributes as well and is 5ft 9. Sounds ideal for Angeball.
