If Celtic were in top form with all players fully fit, is there any EPL team also in their best form that we couldn’t beat.
    Without luck or penalties

Tell you something, out of them all, and there’s better teams in the league no doubt - I’d be * petrified playing Brighton.

But aye daft thing to say mate, I’d hate to see Halaand and De Bruyne alone on their top form play against us man.

    No surprise there

We can announce that Head Coach Antonio Conte has left the Club by mutual agreement. We achieved Champions League qualification in Antonio’s first season at the Club. We thank Antonio for his contribution and wish him well for the future.

Cristian Stellini will take the team as Acting Head Coach for the remainder of the season, along with Ryan Mason as Assistant Head Coach.

Daniel Levy, Chairman: “We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place. We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our Club and amazing, loyal supporters.”

Fabio Petrici handed his mate the job. I don't actually think Conte has done a great job since he left Juve really. At Juve he didn't spend massive amounts but it was the start of the financial downfall for Inter and Milan. At Chelsea and Inter he spent an absolute * tonne of money to get 1 league at each, nothing compared to current day Chelsea but I think he still spent around £300m over 3 windows (he also sold Salah for £14m). I don't think he was ever the guy to bring trophies to Spurs.

Newcastle United can announce that licensed standing - commonly known as 'safe standing' - will be introduced at St. James' Park as part of an initial trial period at the start of the 2023/24 season.

A designated licensed standing section with space for approximately 1,800 home supporters will be installed in the South East Corner of the stadium and will include the lower section of block B and the upper sections of blocks C, D, E and F.

A similar provision will also be installed for visiting supporters on Level 7 of the Leazes End.

The trial follows a supporter consultation process, during which more than 4,000 fans responded to an online survey - with 70 fans attending a subsequent working group session at St. James' Park to provide more detailed feedback.

Of those surveyed online, 75 per cent were in favour of licensed standing being introduced at St. James' Park - with the South East Corner and Gallowgate End identified as the preferred location by more than 70 per cent of respondents.

The club has also continued to monitor existing trials at other stadiums in England, with licensed standing areas successfully installed and safely managed at Wembley and a number of Premier League grounds with the support of the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA).

For further information on licensed standing, please visit the Football Supporters Association website here.

    WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The club has now contacted all affected supporters via email, giving them the opportunity to remain as part of the trial or opt out.

Newcastle United is fully committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and ensuring access for all. Season ticket holders who have informed us they have a disability will receive a call directly from the Supporter Services team over the coming days as we look to ensure your matchday experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

FANS WISHING TO MOVE INTO THE LICENSED STANDING AREA

Should seats become available for other season ticket holders to move into the licensed standing area, the club will communicate this in due course.

In the meantime, we kindly ask supporters not to contact the Box Office to register their interest in moving seats from other areas of the stadium.

Man City 0-1 Liverpool Salah. If Liverpool's winning today I reckon Arsenal will be champions.

If Liverpool go on to win this 8 points with 10 games left surely means the end of the race.

That injury has taken a lot from Van dijk I think, there’s no doubt he’s lost a few yards of pace and now the way he used to just jog alongside someone knowing he’d take the ball off them when he fancied no longer works for him and he ends up getting caught badly out of position whereas before he never used to.

Liverpool getting taught a lesson here. They need a bit of an overhaul this summer.

Agree with @cammy07. Van Dijk is miles off it these days. Seems to still swagger about as if he's the best defender in the league but he's nowhere near it.

Sure he'll have us near relegated in 5 years time but we'll also have a few champions league finals :fear:
