A wee reminder that this bhoy plays every game for club and country, wins battles against any * that dares challenge him, and speaks like a man that has been involved in our club since the quality street gang days.

Another year or two doing what he's doing, and he'll be a permanent member of the Celtic roll of honour. What a guy.

He has been so good that I'm seriously starting to question whether we need to improve on Taylor on the left. Having a left back with his athleticism and strength would be handy when the Champions League rolls around again.

Thought he was really poor today..

They stuck a centre mid on him in Doyle Hayes and he spooked Johnston from the off. Hurried him constantly all game..

I actually thought he was good mate, nothing special but definitely not poor. Put in some great crosses and a couple of those bang on long balls down the right wing.

I can't think of any good balls he whipped in?

The one Kyogo chested was Jota i think?

I thought he looked slow to move it today and got caught repeatedly at one point. Put him right off his game..

Well from the top of my head he played a great cross in early on for Daizan at the back post but didn't gamble. 2 or 3 good drag back crosses, pinpoint pass from the RB position down the wing to Abada and another over the top ball to Abada near the end. Like I said was nothing special but defo wasn't poor. A couple of dodgy touches doesn't automatically mean you've had a bad game

Entire team was off form today except Jota, and It's probably his first average game for us.

Actually shows how consistent he's been since he got here.

Was a peach of a pass like. He's very good at that long ball over the top always on point

Ball up the wing from deep for Abada was excellent.

Definitely improved last 20 mins but other than that thought he wasn't great, similar to @McChiellini..

Just watching Sportscene and he could've had an assist for Jota first half that was well saved. Low pass..

    Still wasn't his best day..

Not at all about him but the lack of direct attacking threat today was painful. The constant playing it back and across, with no real threat was a big issue today.

Johnston is getting better, bar today, going forwards so definitely improving but would still like to see Ralston in the second half as has more about him when we need it.

Meh, thought there were a few worse performers than Johnston today. Wasn't impressed with the way Doyle-Hayes was just throwing himself recklessly at him every time he had the ball. Thought it was quite dangerous.

He ever so slightly improved 2nd half, but defo his poorest performance to date.

I did notice too the wee guy playing wide against him nearly blocked everything at the start he tried to play.

Came into the 2nd half without actually doing anything.

Lustig nailed down the right-back role at Celtic for near-enough his entire time at the club, and he is thrilled to have watched January recruit Alistair Johnston follow suit - even if it's in a tweaked role.

“He’s made the perfect start," said Lustig of Johnston. "His first game was the derby as well. That’s football. He took his chance straight away and ever since then he’s been really reliable.

“He played on the big stage with Canada at the World Cup and he’s been fantastic since day one. I’m really happy for him.

“I played the inverted full back role a little bit. With Brendan, we had KT who pushed on and I stayed back a bit.

“I always liked to get forward and I would have loved to have played under Ange at the moment. It would suit me quite well I think.
