O'Neills trolling the FAI a bit there for going with Castore as the kit suppliers by coming up with that top which looks nice I think as an aside. But no question the timing of that tops release is not a coincidence. In fairness though I never expected O'Neills to get the Ireland deal as they simply would not have the money to get that contract I would not think. Having said that I have not seen anywhere a number given to how much Castore are paying per year to the FAI for the 5 year deal they have now with our kit. The FAI are desperate for money given the massive debts the corrupt and incompetent Delaney regime saddled them with so I assume the FAI simply went with whoever put the most money on the table regardless.

 

Personally I could care less that Castore make the zombies kit as well. Heck Adidas used to make the old huns clubs kit. So I really don't care about that. For me the issue is that Castore is a dodgy company who's product is utterly * quality so I won't be touching any Ireland kit made by Castore for that reason.

 

yeah I get that, i've seen some Castore stuff that looked nice but the stories I've seen has put me right off. Their * is expensive too.
The O'Neils shire looks miles better and that's about £40.

 

Yeah I was just being a bit nawty! Bottom line is... after laughing at seeing it peel off rangers fans and their players, it's not worth the dosh!

 

Evan Ferguson to make his first start for Ireland tonight. Big night for the young Meath lad. Considering how bad we are up front even though he is still a teenager can see Ferguson becoming a regular very quickly for Ireland as he looks to have genuine quality and real potential as a striker at the top level. Time will tell of course but boy do we need him to succeed given our lack of quality options up front.

Im sure i read that it was at least part owned by Andy Murray and if you manage to stay awake through any of his interviews you'll notice thats the brand he wears.

Originally it was started by them yes but not sure who actually owns it now I think those brothers either sold it out right or a portion of it.

I believe part of his sponsorship deal was shares.
I believe shares were sold to investors to basically fund the introduction to team sports.
