His first couple of appearances were promising but in the last two games he's been pretty poor tbh.

I think he'll come good but he's looking rather clumsy lately.

He definitely isn't looking sharp enough yet. Hopefully it'll come with more game time under his belt

He's still settling. We've seen flashes of what he can do. He'll be a very good player for us given the chance. He'll be like GG in certain aspects, as he'll be tailored for certain games against certain types of opposition.

Don't think he had a pre-season. Think he just kept himself physically fit. He'll be sharp soon enough.

I thought he was great when he came on in the LC final. Showed he has the ability to hold the ball up.

Showed glimpses of what he can do but still far too early to judge him. His time will come but for now he’s just going to be coming on in games that are already done and we are just passing it about with no real intent on attacking and the opposition just sitting back not wanting to concede anymore.

Think there is serious potential there and anyone writing him off yet is being impatient.

I think he'll get a good half hour against Hibs as I'm predicting we'll be outta sight by then and fancy him to score as well..

He’s a huge step down from Kyogo currently but that’s not a slight on him, especially as he’s a much different proposition.

I think he probably has a fair bit to go, maybe more than most (including myself) thought.

Got to agree Paul looks in the raw category not as raw as some projects though we have had through the door. Ideal scenario for me would have been keep GG to the summer or closer to American window shutting in April to get him bedded in more

Oh Hyeon-gyu thrilled at prospect of Celtic going to Korea to play trio of giants
A whole new frontier opened up for Oh Hyeon-gyu when he moved to Celtic from his Korean homeland in January.

The 21-year-old striker’s mind is boggled by that, within months of that life-changing switch, he could be given the opportunity to offer his new confreres a window into his old world. That prospect has been raised by reports that Ange Postecoglou’s team are looking at embarking on a pre-season tour of Asia that will see them play Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City in Japan, before spending a few days in South Korea. “I could never have imagined I would have the chance to go to Korea with Celtic,” Oh said. “If it were to happen it would be a new experience for me and I would be very proud to show them my country.”

The bustling forward’s mentality has clearly been shaped by his upbringing. In particular, completing his national service by joining army team Gimcheon Sangmu before turning professional with Suwon Bluewings, whom Celtic paid £2.5million to recruit him in the closing days of the January transfer window. The football brought him more satisfaction than the military training, he jokes, but his sense of obligation and serving the collective suggests both elements made their mark on him. “I believe I have a lot to show to the fans and am conscious always to do my best for them so they will not be disappointed in me,” he said.

This band won’t be disappointed in Oh’s surprise claim when it comes to a sense of anticipation over the seemingly-inevitable title triumph for Postecoglou’s men that will allow him to make good on his career dream of playing in the Champions League. “These were the games I watched on television in Korea when I was young. I always supported Celtic but I also watched the games of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich to learn everything I could from their quality,” said a young player learning from the Celtic’s striking phenomenon Kyogo Furuhashi, as he takes the understudy role to Postecoglou’s lynchpin. “I was particularly interested in front line players, those were the ones I tried to learn from. Karim Benzema and others too. The games at this level give you the chance to play against the best players in the world so I will do my best to prepare for next season as well I possibly can.”

Think he's looked fine and confident he'll get much better. Very early days.

Seems a step down from GG as well imo, which again is not a dig as he was several years older than Oh.

I have faith in Ange that the lad is a future pler.

    Just not having an impact.
Would actually like to see him start against Hibs, spring Kyogo if needed.
Just feel he needs to start a game to kick on.

Och he will be fine, young and lacking match sharpness atm. With Kyogo in the form of his life he will have time to adjust and get up to speed. If the worst were to happen and Kyogo to pick up an injury, with goals coming from all over our team even that wouldn't be a disaster and being thrown into the deep end would certainly help him get his sharpness back.

It’s never easy making an impact in the last 20 mins. I expect to see him get more starts if we wrap the league up.

Definitely needs starts. Desperate to impress and lacking in sharpness isn't a good combination when you come on for just 15 minutes a time, can lead to you looking a bit too over eager or snatching at things.

I think he's shown a lot in his appearances so far. Very confident he'll be a success here.

I think he’s done great so far considering he’s barely kicked a ball last 5 months and only 21 in a new country. He showed in LC final he can already bully a defence but also has ability on the ball.

He’ll only get better with more game time.
