Last season he produced 8 goals and 5 assists in 22 games, tahts a better than 1 in 2 return. He also scores magic scrappy goals that no one else does. I'd argue that he has a reasonably good technical ability for a pace merchant that he is, certainly compared to other players in the league and has a better return than some of the most technical.

Mindset is huge in our system and I would find it hard to argue that anyone has a better mindset than Maeda,

Brown was never the most technically gifted player in our team but nobody would ever deny that his workrate alone made a huge contribution, would you ever dismiss his hard graft as "just" giving 100%? No, of course not, because him at his peak giving 100% effort was a level of physical output that most in our team couldn't match.

While not being the greatest technically Maeda still contributes goals and assists, and sure it might not be too difficult to replace those raw numbers, but his workrate and level of defensive pressing from the front he provides is rare and wouldn't be easy for us to replace at all. He's a huge asset in this squad.

If Maeda can stop missing chances and become more clinical he'll become the best striker in Scotland. Its a certainty

Brave for the goal. He has been accused of pulling out before.

Aye looked like an impact injury instead of a twist or sprain from the telly. Hopefully ok.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has addressed Daizen Maeda's injury status after his early substitution in the 3-1 Premiership victory over Hearts.

The Japan international scored the equaliser against the Jambos but was then forced off around the half-hour mark.

Kyogo Furuhashi struck on the hour mark to put the champions ahead before Sead Haksabanovic smashed in a third late on. The result ensures the Hoops

With Daizen it looks like a knock. We'll just have to assess it - it's obviously a short turnaround so we'll just have to assess how he is."

Love how he went through Zander Clark for the goal. * deserved that for the fake ankle injury time wasting * he tried to pull...9 mins into the game.

Was excellent at the start, great goal and disappointed to lose him. Hopefully it's just a knock/impact and he's back available soon.

Hope it’s just a wee knock. He is an important player for us and now scored 10 goals I think.

can’t believe * don’t think he is good enough a page or so back.

Get a grip. I am more than delighted when anyone in the hoops plays well. He had started the game very well.

Fingers crossed it is a bit of a dead leg and he is fine but he’s not the type to go down easily or stay down.

Fingers crossed as others are saying he made a very good start to last night and if Hearts put Smith back in he will have the run of him on Saturday.
