He seems to be always in the news these days. I get the impression he's a great prospect. Personally I haven't seen him play as I don't watch the epl.

Couple of stories recently about the english trying to poach him. If they go down this route it's only a matter of time before they start looking at Scottish players as well. Ben Doak maybe..

I don' think there is any worry there. He is a born and bred Irishman from Meath. He is eligible from his mother side but I don't think there is any worry there at all.

He has been a hot prospect from a very young age. Made his first team debut for Bohemians at just 14.

Kenny is awful though. No other manager has had the time to fail like he has.

Only saw bits of the game today. Two good goals though. The first was really neat.

I won't be wearing the rangers brand - plus it looks bad!

I am going to agree and disagree with you on this one. I get where your coming from in terms of the quality level that Kenny is at himself. He is a very bang average manager at best and has no record of success at the top level. Having said that I disagree with you in terms of the time he has had in the sense that our squad is so bereft of talent you could have had Ange in charge, and it would have made fec all difference to the results IMHO.

The one positive I take about our team under Kenny is that for the most part we are at least moving into the modern football world and actually trying to play football that is possession based and shock horror even at times attractive to watch. For me for way to long both Irish and foreign coaches have put out Irish teams that made little attempt to actually play and were not very attractive to watch at all. For me part of the evolution for the future of football in Ireland has to be not just putting in place the proper pathways and structures to develop our best young players it is also about having a philosophy that we coach those kids to be good technically and tactically so they are comfortable on the ball and want the ball and want to play attacking possession based football and that must be the belief all the way through to the senior side IMHO.
