The Cubs broadcast was doing the same yesterday. I suspect everyone else will follow soon. Padres went for this horrible thing. All I can see is the clock.

Went out on the anniversary of his dad and grandparents being killed in the 2011 tsunami and absolutely bossed it. Already has a perfect game under his belt, Roki will be a superstar.

 

This thread reached 122th pages, so I'd say it's a big thread. It's very surprising for me. I mean, baseball is popular only in US, several countries around US and several countries in far east Asia (Japan, Korea and Taiwan). Even if a Scottish person is interested in baseball, even baseball gloves are not available at sporting goods stores there, right?

Edit: As you may know, I'm Japanese, so I'm from a "baseball country".

Baseball doesn't really exist in the UK. You could count the number of baseball diamonds in the UK on one hand. The MLB and WBC are on BT Sport here, while the BBC shows the London games but the viewing figures are low. The UK's games in the WBC got barely a mention in the news here.

The London series games will sell out because it's something different and for that reason they rip the * with ticket prices. £95 for a seat way at the back of what would be out field seating.

In most big, general sports shops here you can get bats and balls, gloves not so much but if you look hard enough you could get one.

Of the main 'US sports' NFL probably has the biggest online/TV viewing figures here. While the domestic Ice Hockey league is the best attended.

I don’t think I know anyone here who watches baseball. I’ve tried, I absolutely love American football and basketball.

Maybe with the pitch clock to speed the game up I’ll try and get into it.

 

What a great Final game, Well deserved victory for Japan, they have a great young team, also shout out to Mexico for a amazing tournament

This is a baseball stadium that newly opened last month. It is a very well made video and you can understand how popular baseball is in Japan if you watch it.

 

I'm calling it now, Tampa is winning it all. I don't care that is the Tigers and the Nationals, they are doing it lol

 

Just watching Seattle @ Cleveland, Cleveland batter walked, then proceeded to steal 2nd base and then he runs a double after a hit down the middle from a teammate, Great Baseball, it’s not all about home runs although they are tremendous in some of those stadiums. I don’t know the language or actually all the rules being new to it but I do like and appreciate some of the skill levels

 

So the A's are doing what everyone knew they would do and moving to Vegas.

It's been a weird season so far just everywhere, with just over a month to go to the play-offs.

Red Sox win% is .537 which is only bettered by 7 teams across the entire of MLB - outside of the AL East, where it's only good enough for 4th place is a 5 horse race and 12.5 games back on the O's.

The silver lining being that the Stinkees are even worse.

 

Not anymore , Seriously though The Yankees and Red sux are now the punching bags of the rest of the AL east
