Haven’t eaten a takeaway in two weeks and back from injury so been training/playing matches again and have dropped 2 kilos.

Groin is still niggly but the physio gave me the all clear to crack on providing I keep up the exercise programme twice a week and don’t over do it.

Nothing more frustrating than being injured, when I have nothing to train for I lose my discipline altogether with both the drink and diet.

Got a shaky 72.5kg PB for bench press tonight.
Two of my goals for this year are to do a marathon and bench my bodyweight which is just under 90kg the now. Hoping to lose a bit while getting stronger and meet in the middle about 80kg.
Got a stag in April and Mexico in September so really need to get the finger out, I was 65kg or under in early 2020!

Anyone know anywhere in Glasgow you can weigh yourself? Boots used to do it but not sure that's a thing now.

Edit - * it just gonna buy a new set tomorrow

Lidl are doing a £3.99 abs wheel. Got one yesterday and ooof! Does the job and is fine for what it is. They're also doing a 10kg set of hand weights / dumbbells for £24...which I'm pondering over...

Have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, so am having to adjust my diet accordingly. At the moment cutting out the starches and sugars hasn't been too hard so far (especially as I've always used spuds/rice/pasta and even bread as staples for a long time, so adjusting to that has been more difficult than cutting back on the sugars has been.

Also never knew dried fruit was so bad for you, as have been having that as part of breakfast cereal/museli since forever, but having to not just cut the odd choc, but all the fresh fruit as well... grapes, nectarines, peaches, mangoes all big no-no's now... so many of my fav things all gone. :(

Still a work in progress, but too soon to know if it's doing any good.

Anyone else dealing with type 2 diabetes with any tips/advice?

This weeks' longer run. Aiming for half marathon distance before my mate's stag in April then try and work towards a full before end of the year.
Also chasing getting back down to 85kg and hopefully get to 80 ish before the stag aswell.

I put on one of those muller knee bands around the patella tendon. My knees have never felt better after running than now. Impressed how such a small strap actually does something.

No bad for a Tuesday night. Happy to get it back under 2 hours because last time was just over. Best I've managed was about 1 hour 46 odds but that was a few stone ago!
