That's it exactly. He's doing things you usually see on telly in foreign leagues. It's frightening how good he is and probably still has levels to go through.

All about opinions but there’s not a chance McGregor is far and away the best in the team.

If you think he’s the best then fair enough. But way better than the next best? No chance.

McGregor is * brilliant but I do think some people go overboard with him.

I think you could be right with those 3 when we play at home and we might move to a double pivot for away matches or the top end teams like Real Madrid.

Mind that time Alex Rae said he was a utility player.

How can anyone go "overboard" with McGregor? The guy is levels above anyone in this squad.

Just need to hark back to earlier in the season how much fluidity we lost in the team WITHOUT him.

Keeps getting better all the time, no telling how high his ceiling will be.

In terms of the 'complete package': Ability, consistency, leadership, effort and fitness - McGregor is comfortably on his own at Celtic.

The dip in performances when he was out the team isn't a coincidence.

If needed he can play any of the 3 CM positions, LW, LB. The only reason we don't utilise it more is due to how good he is in the '6'. Irreplaceable.

He’s not levels better than guys like Hatate, Jota or CCV.

I know that he’s an incredible player. He’s shown that for years. But I just don’t think he’s streets ahead of certain players in the squad.

That’s what I mean by going overboard. If he was levels above those guys, then top 4 teams from every major league would be putting bids in regularly.

Hard to say McGregor is so consistent and so good physically and technically it's hard to imagine him being replaced by someone as good there.

But Hatate is something else, probably the closest we've had to Lubo since. Technically Hatate on either foot is unbeliebable, vision, dribbling, movement, the energy he's got as well.

We're lucky to be watching two guys like this.

TBH, I think Hatate is better than McGregor at LB- he's had more experience there while in Japan. We just never needed Hatate to cover at LB (okay, there was need in the last Huns game, but Ange forgot about Hatate and sent a sick Jura to replace Taylor).

McGregor is a great player on his day but people do go overboard with the praise at times. Obviously we're a better side with him in it, but we didn't miss him that much when he was injured.

Without McGregor we didn't lose a single match domestically (8/8), scored 27 goals and conceded 9. We were less fluid which is understandable but hardly struggled.

For me, Hatate is the better player. He's been much better than McGregor this season. Even if you disagree with Hatate being the better player overall, it can't be denied that he's outperformed him this season.

    Absolutely.

He's the best player we've ever produced since McGrain and Dalglish. Better than Paul McStay now.

He's LEVELS above Hatate, Jota is inconsistent and CCV is a defender.

That's not an overreaction or going overboard, that's a fact.

Fortunately our squad was strong enough to cope without him, but if you think guys like Hatate and O'Riley were playing as well (or better) without McGregor beside them on the pitch, then I think you're mental.

Bollocks he's levels above Hatate. He's good but let's rein it in a bit.

Hatate will end up in England, Spain or Germany. At a top team. It's * frightening how good he is and I don't think he's done improving either.

Why can't folk see that Hatate is something special? I think he's the best talent we've had in decades. Top tier talent.

Ah ok. Best player we've "produced" not bought

    Yeah that might be true.
