It will be madness to leave Celtic without at least building a solid reputation in Europe that you can fall back on should things go pear shaped. He’s got to make strides in Europe next year if he wants a top gig.

I don’t see him leaving until he’s completed at minimum 3 years here.

He won't leave right now. The board have given him every player he's asked for. He's never had the chance to buy this many players. Oh no, he wants to see his little creation in full flight. Money will only tempt him once he thinks he can't crack Europe with Celtic- and he doesn't think that yet. He's building something here and it's not finished. Once it is built and tested, that's when I'll start to worry.

Ange is a master builder. Not a * scrap yard salvager.

Leeds is a side in distress, with a closed transfer, window and looking to appoint someone to save them from relegation.

Ange ain't touching ANY job unless he's guaranteed a relative transfer budget to build and compete with a REALISTIC goal of success.
That's out the window with Leeds.

There is only two clubs who operate in a way that Ange could build success with in the EPL.

Brighton and Brentford...jobs that wont be available at least until start of 24/25 season.

Albeit Brighton squad is getting ransacked every transfer window so it may be hard to keep up their relative success through next season.

Every other club has some sort of issue going on, no sense of direction with how they spend, scout and otherwise recruit players, are up for sale. Basically a lack of any real foundation that will inevitably be their downfall.

The likes of Leeds are a total waste of a career right now for any manager building a reputation in Europe - just a complete black hole of lost time if you go to clubs like that.

Seriously though...Ange is easily the most charismatic person in the game right now.

If he went to team like Brentford or Brighton the media down there would swoon over the big * the man is honestly just so engaging with the way he talks.

I'd have no doubts in mind, just purely hypothetical this, he'd be able to go into Liverpool if Klopp was sacked and easily bring them league titleS without breaking a sweat.

Give Ange that squad, he'll get them to invest in midfield without a doubt and he'd probably win the league as well as having guys like Gakpo and Nunez looking like THE world's best players

Thing about Ange is he does everything right. Transfer business, interacting with the press, dealing with unhappy players. I think the way his brain is wired he has to be emaculate in everything he does. This is why I think he will leave Celtic at the right time (e.g. 2 or 3 years from now) and he will preserve his reputation in doing so, unlike the rat

Wouldnt be surprised if it was Man City he ended up at , they might see this as him earning the move

Yeah he could take that Liverpool team, maybe not win the league the first season but once recruited and cleaned some out he'd have them as winners I have no doubt. He's had success at every place he's been bar a short stint in Greece. Any club that lets him recruit who he wants would he would be fine, so Chelsea would be a struggle with the massive long term contracts and egos.

Unsure on the bolded part. If a player is unhappy with playing time, there should be more understanding of his position. Unhappiness over wages is a different matter though- one Ange can't even resolve.

I honestly think the only real threat of Ange leaving now would be a total fantasy scenario like Klopp getting the boot and Liverpool coming in for him or something similar. Basically a move he couldn't afford to pass up because it may never come around again. Whereas if he continues to do well here, it's reasonable to assume that the Leeds type jobs will be there for him in the future.

Besides, as much as I'm sure he fully backs his own ability based on all the success he's had in his career, less than half a season to keep a struggling team up is no guarantee of immediate success. He could get them playing well, yet bad luck or finishing on a par with what we showed in Europe this season could conceivably see them go down, and then he's traded the chance for a treble, the opportunity to beat Rodger's season points total and another shot at Europe, for what? Half a season of Premier League football. Not gonna happen.

Not naive enough to think the day won't come but hopefully it's not anytime soon. The ins and outs over the last window make me think he has a big eye on the cl next season. If Europe is underwhelming next season I think he could be open to going if the right offer came about

Considering they sacked Biesla, a club hero and a fan favourite, and replaced him with Ted Lasso, they're certainly not what you'd call a pragmatic bunch.
Obviously Leeds were toiling, but many Leeds fans think seeing it was Biesla who got them to the prem in the first place, he should've been given time to dig them out of a relegation scrap. He wasn't even sacked when they were in the relegation zone.

Most Leeds fans think this yank "family" are pretty clueless .

But back on topic, Leeds fans think Ange WAS approached, but said "get back to me in the summer if you're still an EPL team".

Smells like absolute * to me.

I agree. The one fear is that he makes no headway in CL comp.games with Celtic and wins no games, that will deny him advancing to the next round. Frustration may be the factor that sees him seek new challenges elsewhere.

However this is the very thing that will keep him at Celtic. The board and fans want domestic success each season, League and cups. Ange can give them that. The CL for Ange is a personal challenge and project. He will not walk away until he has climbed that mountain. It is the challenge that will keep him at Celtic. He will put all his self-belief into cracking the code that will get Celtic into the second round and beyond, and bring more prize money to the club as well.

What may stop him from ultimate success is a limited budget to buy players of the calibre of the richer clubs in Europe.
Secondly, if he is too rigid in his tactical approach to games, and does not have a plan A and B for certain games. He will have to accept that in certain games and terrain he will have to play ugly or play for a draw to get the points he needs.

He wants to play attractive football and win, but his game plan can be predictable and countered in Europe, as we saw this season.

Corberan would be the smart choice. Talented, hungry young manager who has proven he can come in mid season and make an immediate impact on a struggling team.

If worse comes to the worst and they do poach Ange (he has previous with leaving teams in the lurch) then we should 100% be trying to steal Corberan off West Brom.

Can't see Ange leaving mid-season..... and certainly not for Leeds with the window closed..

He's been fully backed by the board and has more about his character than Rodgers..

However, anything can happen in football..
