Had look this up, even though I'm old enough to possibly remember it, but don't.

Scotland qualified by knocking Australia out :39:.

It’s not Aussie bashing to say a large amount of our team would get in the Socceroos mate. I grew up in Australia and follow them as much as I can, go for them at the World Cup and they are majorly impressive as a team for the players that they have. Consistently on the big stage they’ve been impressive, going back to even 2006 when Fabio Grosso completely conned them.

Us as a team though, we have a * of a lot of Internationals in the team. I’ve had the conversation with you before, particularly with Mooy, that people were underestimating players and you were overestimating. There is absolutely no chance that McGregor is the only guy in the Celtic team that would get a call up for Australia though.

You love your team and are passionate about your local game, that’s to be commended, it’s not trolling though to think guys like Hatate, Kyogo, O’Riley, CCV and a smattering of others would be a great bonus for the Aussie national team if they were Australian.

People start trolling when you go overboard mate, because they find it funny.

That's not what I was responding to. People are perfectly entitled to that sort of opinion - the post that * me off was by some idiot with half a dozen posts on here claiming the Oz team other than Mooy were about League 1 standard. That's trolling.

After that I may have become slightly passionate (passionate as a newt).

I imagine that was a lone opinion that? Don’t bite to people that don’t have a clue, and especially when you lose the rag and say * like only McGregor would get a look in. You know yourself that’s no true.

Don’t need to be defensive over it, I’d kill for a lot of Celtic players to be Scottish and available to play internationally for us.

I actually said "crappy maybe was too strong a word but most of our Aussie players are lower-level scottish premier league, english championship, a-league level at best."

For the record I love my Australian football and footballers and believe most of the time we punch well above our weight at international level but don't like it when people expect too much of our better players because sometimes they underperform at international level (which is where why original argument stemmed from). It especially stood out at this tournament because I have watched so much of Mooys club football at Celtic and at times when he passed and moved his teammates technique wasn't quite there so instead of getting it straight back in a better position the moment was lost. At the top level the margins for error are very fine and it just stood out to me this world cup.

I only have a few posts because I am self employed and have 4 kids and try not to get involved with this sort of rubbish. I understand that people may not agree with my opinion but to be called stupid and a troll seems a little bit too much especially when I believe my argument isn't that outlandish.

Haha wait mate, is it your comment that sparked this off and you’re an Aussie yourself? @Mr Cleansheets mate, it’s no us this team, Aussie’s being biased against Aussies. Like Ange against Mooy because his nationality all over again here :56:

@Neverwozza give your opinion when you feel like it, half the time when * sparks off on here because of an innocuous comment is because of something that’s happened a long time ago. For the record it isn’t outlandish, but there’s been * between Scottish and Aussies on here going back to Rogic, never mind Ange at first.

The Aussies were so right with Ange and then Mooy, * get annoyed with smug opinions being right. It’s a debate sparker though, all good fun. Don’t worry bout putting yer 2 pennys worth in.

Counted about 4 absolutely class subtle touches when he came on. He's a joy to watch at times.

He is playing a different sport to everyone else. Like * Neo or something, guy is in the matrix. Sees things that no one else sees. Not even exaggerating.

Some of you are probably starting to see why many of us Aussies rate Mooy ahead of Rogic. This is coming from a massive Rogic fan too.
