I thought he may have moved before ange got here, defo a big miss on our part.

 

Two players worth keeping an eye on for the summer would be.

Yankuba Minteh of OB in Denmark is an 18 year old Gambian right winger. He is left footed, lightening quick and has good dribbling skills and work rate to press and tackle back. He is just breaking into their first team since September but has 2 goals and 3 assists in 7 games since.

The Danish league has been on a long break due to the World Cup. The league is only just restarting this month but will be interesting to see how he goes the rest of the season. Come the summer he will only have one year left on his deal.



The second is 20 year old Czech playmaker Michael Sevcik. He plays for a newly promoted side Zbrojovka Brno. In 17 games this season he has 7 goals and 5 assists. He is positionally versatile having played as an attacking midfielder and also wide right.

There is limited footage of him available but his stats are impressive for a team in mid table of the division. He is also in the national U21 team.

 

Just watched some random players from Tunisia and these stuck out with potential


Hamdi Labidi. 20 year old forward. Looks like he'll easily play at a higher level soon. 4 goals in 9 league games this season..


Zinedine Boutmene. 22 year old, left footed, right winger. Has 4 goals and 2 assists in 7 games. Like the look of him..


Mohamed Dhaoui. 19 year old who can play a few positions and has potential. Quick and tricky. Think he has 5 goals this season....no sure on assists..

You can see they all graft like * as well..

A cheap market to look at. Noticed a few players lately from African leagues that look like they'd be worth a look at..

 

Another in Tunisia is Mohammed Ali Ben Romdhane, 23 year old box to box centre midfielder. He is a big guy (6’1) and was in their world cup squad and played the game against France.

Takes a good freekick and has a good strike from outside the box. Is powerful at carrying the ball and has quick feet. Can also take a penalty. Works hard and presses from the front too. Played over 100 games and gets a goal around every 1 in 4 which isn’t a bad return from centre midfield.

A lazy comparison but he is like a more offensive version of Laidouni we were linked with. The question will be stepping up from the domestic league to Europe. Also his contract is up in the summer. I would be surprised if we are scouting North Africa if he hasn’t come up.

 

He was one of the first I watched

The reason I didn't stick him in was quite a few of his clips showed him from the 6 position....although he was quite attacking..

He'll be in France or somewhere soon then you'd imagine..

 

I was reading a report on him earlier it says he is best suited to being an 8 but can play 6 or 10. The article said he lacks the positional defensive discipline for a 6 and the out and out creativity for a 10 but has a bit of everything to his game. He has also scored 7 in 9 this season so far and been to the World Cup.

Likely will be in Ligue 1 as you say but I think he would be a good fit for us and for free would allow us to spend on a couple of other positions.

Fits the age profile we tend to sign too at 23 from an out of the norm market. Got plenty of international caps so a work permit shouldn’t be an issue.

 

Would anybody take Ryan Christie back if we got the chance. Honestly think ange would get so much out of him (i know he managed him for a couple of games)

Matija Frigan. 19 year old left footed striker..

Looks a player. 6 in 12 for Rijeka and good record for the Croatian and club youth sides..

 

Filip Ronningen Jorgensen. Plays for Odd in Norway..

6 foot, 20 year old centre mid who looks like he would work well in our system. Lovely range of passing. Balance. Breaks well. Presses..

Lot of potential. Looks slightly similar to Gloukh..

3 goals and 4 assists in 28 last season. No sure how many were starts..

 

Think this wee guys just taken over from Iwata. 19 year old Riku Yamane. Looks good..



Franco Fagundez. This is the kinda signing that could take us up a level in Europe..

Only 22. 6 foot 2 and still in Uruguay for Nacional..

Pacey and powerful. Can beat a man and has a bit of magic. Versatile, seems he can play up top but the 10 or even as a box to box 8..

Scored 10 in 33 last season..



Daniel Paraschiv. 23 year old, 6 foot Romanian versatile player. Plays for Hermannstadt

Got 10 goals this season and been capped by Romania and scored in his only cap no long ago..



Brayan Alcocer. 19 year old, versatile Venezuelan winger..

Getting a lot of first team game time and going places..

Ange has often mentioned Iran as a market we may target. One player who stands out as having high potential is their u23 captain Yasin Salmani, who is a 20 year old attacking midfielder. He is a very technically gifted player, equally comfortable of his left or right, capable of great strikes from distance, good passing range, also presses aggressively. His current deal is up in the summer, he was looking for a move last summer but signed a one year extension.

He is also a good build at around 6 foot and has a decent acceleration, turn off pace as shown in the video below.

Some footage of him as well. He could come in and get rotational minutes whilst Mooy is still around and then be ready to step up if he settles.

 

Been looking at Left footed Centre Backs (since before Yuki came in) I just can’t get passed two. Kamal Miller who is 26 this year was with Canada at the World Cup with AJ and still plays in the America’s with Montreal Impact, with AJ coming in I’d like a second Canadian to give him a wee pal. The other is Luke Mbete from City now with there FFP rule breaking I could see them wanting to sell who they can and at this point he may actually be out of our price range but a loan to buy like the CCV deal could be great for both us and them.

I fear in the summer we may need 2 centre backs as I feel one of Starfelt or CCV may move on.
