I wouldn't say overrated but I definitely don't miss jura, Johnstone hasnt really put a foot wrong, add to the fact this is his first taste of a European league, I think he's doing a fantastic job so far

Solid defensively, only going to get better going forward as he adapts to the inverted role, looks like another great bit of business.

Amazing how knee * our fans are considering this guy was being dubbed a dud after the game at the weekend now he's back to being the bees knees. Guys a player soke fans need to chill when players have an off game now and then, it happens in football and doesn't define their careers.

 

This is the knee *. No one said he was a dud. He wasn't great but nothing more than that.

Johnston has been fine and at points good. But * me, I considered Juranovic over-praised, similarly Frimpomg but this is going full Monty-Python. Should rename him Brian Johnston.

Yes he's been fine and all credit to him settled well but other than that there is absolutely nothing at this point in time to say he's going to contribute more than Juranovic or Ralston in real terms.

 

Taylor is fine and it's taken him multiple seasons to get to "fine". After GK, LB is the next position I'd be looking at for upgrading - 100%.

 

I think he's been a great signing so far. Didn't even realise anyone had been labelling him a dud. I must just not pay attention to such bullshit.

Yeah pulling off 2 out of 3(?) MOTM performances is just "Decent or Fine"

Think he's looked good so far. With more time he'll get better and better. Would like to see him making more runs like this to get crosses in though.



Can see AJ being a bit of a Lustig type. Stronger defensively, able to play as a CB, big personality and good chance he'll stay at the club a long time.

 

Best game for us so far midweek.

 

Taylor was fine from the off, just playing in a team and season that there was more to complain about.

At this point, other than CCV and McGregor, he's just about the last player we need to consider upgrading I'd say.

Hes playing in a system where his weaknesses arent as exposed as hes not expected to bomb up and down the flanks which is why he was hung out in Lennys system - weakness #1 as hes not versitile.

Hes short and slow. Weakness #2

He's absolutely fine as a squad player but is easily one of the next positions i'd be targetting for upgrading. I dont know what else to tell you.

 

It's par for the course these days on this forum. You say he wasn't particularly good in one game and there needs to be vast improvement in his attacking ability and you're essentially calling him *.
