    Wilson did have a good game yesterday mate but i dont think he or hinkle are the answer and naylor is just pathetic so thats why i think we need a rb and lb

    Personally i think wilson is a good enough rb better than hinkel anyway,we need a lb with a bit of a pedigree,wilson at rb,mick n loovens in the middle,defence should be a bit more solid,then that just leaves us midfield n up front to sort out!!

    wilson is a better lb than right back mate but him naylor and hinkle are not good enough and caddis is right good player and mcgrain is coaching him so he might make that position his own

    Have to disagree there mate Wilson's natural position is Right back,Caddis looked good in pre-season mate so i'd give him a shot,Strachan won't give him it though!
    Left back is needed far more than right at the moment between Hinkel,Wilson,Caddis n dare i say it Doumbe we should be covered there at least for the spl,judging by our start to the season though our problems lie far deeper than just the defence!!

    I know wilson is a natural RB mate but he does play better on the left though and is better than naylor in that position and Hinkle is simply not good enough either and i agree we need mor than defence sorted out but start at the back and work forward and caddis is a right sided mid who is being used at RB and he does do a good job there but i would like to see him being deployed where he is best and signing a good experienced RB and another LB

    lol we would waste money on another RB! LB aye, but weve got Hinkel,Wilson,JPD,Caddis and Caldwell who can play there. Anyway, the deal to get Silvestre would be good, but can't see us paying his wage demands, infact I think WGS was quoted saying the same.

    Sunderland are close to a £750,000 deal for Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre.
    The former France international has been with United for nine years now.
    But his first-team chances were going to be restricted this season and it appears he has decided to leave, although not for Manchester City as had been rumoured.

    I would have thought he would have went on loan as this ius his testimonial year so there is maybe a massive signing on fee involved too shame though quality player but the search goes on

    really like silvestre ( as a united fan ) loyal servant.

    had his troubles with injuries, mainly his knee, similar to JFK.

    hopefully he can get first team football with keano.
