I’d throw money at Ange to stay to be honest. He’s not just a normal manager, he’s running the whole club.

Back him with a really competitive salary and a long contract.

I’m sure he’ll have ambitions to manage in other leagues at some point and that’s fine, but let’s do what we can to remove money as a motivating factor and we might get a few years out of him.

Definitely having a tougher time of it of late but that tends to happen in management. Still a success overall

Think he has a serious talent as a scout look at his recruitment it’s like 90 per cent success rate

Age of ange documentary showed him scouting possible players to come in to Australian national team was using a database and had no help from anyone else at the time

Can't see him moving to Everton even if offered, but stranger things have happened.

Don't expect Everton to come calling for him in any case. Think EPL clubs will still be too snobby to take Postecoglou - they'll think they can do better.

Genuinely think Leicester took Rodgers mainly because of how close he came to winning the league at Liverpool. If he hadn't managed there, I doubt they'd have taken him in 2019.

Could work in our favour to be honest, but reputable EPL clubs likely won't come looking for Ange due to sheer snobbery.

    Agree with all this.

Unless Ange does something incredible in Europe then I don't think EPL clubs will bother looking at him.

The Brits have got a really low opinion of Scottish football and as you say, Rodgers was already an established name in England - he held one of the top jobs, almost won its ultimate prize and had done very well with Swansea as well, so it's much more likely those were the decisive factors in him getting the Leicester job than anything he did with us.

Similiar with Gerrard. Gerrard didn't have much success as a manger like Rodgers did but like Lampard he at least had the gravitas of being one of England's golden generation, thus his "achievements" at the Huns were blown out of such proportion that he got the Villa job as a result.

By contrast, if Ange had taken over the Huns in 2018 and won twice as much as Gerrard in the same period, Ange still wouldn't have been anywhere near Villa's shortlist.

Doesn't rule out the possibility that someone might take a punt on Ange but I think it's much less likely.

Works in our favour though so I don't care if they don't rate his achievements.

Everton are one of the most toxic teams in the EPL atm, fans hate the owners, the board, staff and players. I know when Ange came to us we were no it any great shape but nothing on that level.

He's gonna be linked with every vacant job that comes up down there.

Zero worries about him going anywhere.

However, I disagree with the notion that no EPL club will look at him. Man City officials are well aware of him and whilst I'm not saying he will replace Guardiola, his name will be touted around other clubs in England, absolutely no doubt. As a successful manager of celtic your name always will be banded about.

I don't see him leaving before end of next season at least.
If he's continued to be backed, specially early in the summer window he will want another fair crack at the champions league I think.

He's set himself up as knowing he can take his game to the big teams, he now needs to show he can tweak a smaller club to be able to take a scalp or three while doing it as well.

He won't give up that desire and passion to prove to himself, to fall down to a mid table club with little European hope.

Crack UCL and he can start having the pick of clubs to move on to at end of next season. Which I think is when he will likely go.

Comfortable that he'll be here til the end of next season..

Seeing his drive, I think he'll want another crack at the champions league....and he knows he'll get it. If we make no strides in that department moving forward, he'll deffo be off..

Him and Everton are all wrong for each other as well. They need someone to steady the ship and stop them leaking goals left right and centre. Ange's style would take a while with the dross they've got there. A side fighting relegation with absolute muck....with a manager who wants to play fast tempo, attacking stuff..

If they went down he'd be a good manager to get them back up under a full rebuild....but I don't think he'd save them..

No doubt to me he has one eye on the cl next season with his aggressive winter window (incomings/outgoings).. from 2024 I think we will be in bonus territory holding on to him.

Look at successful managers of ours in the past. History doesn't suggest that'll be the case.

Gordon Strachan left after winning 3 titles and making the last-16 of the UCL twice. Ended up having to settle for Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Lennon left after making similar waves in Europe and being dominant during his time here. Had to settle for cash-strapped Bolton in the Championship too.

I know O'Neill left for Villa but that was a good 20 odd year ago now. I think times have changed.

If you're successful at Celtic it doesn't really guarantee much talk about you in the EPL at all. That's the reality.

Ange is 33-1 for the Everton job.
    Alerdyce is 20- 1.

I think that sums up how the EPL look at us

Watched an interview with him recently where he said he was a childhood Liverpool supporter so I reckon he'd be reluctant to consider Everton in any circumstance

Ange isn't dumb, and certainly not dumb enough to jump ship for an absolute basket case of a club.

By his own admission, Ange has designated himself both honoured and "lucky" to be managing in Europe at all, nevermind at an institution such as ours.

He's also hinted in several interviews about the legacy he leaves behind.
Managers are unfortunately judged harshly on failures more than successes, unless the manner of that success is insurmountable ex Jose Mourinhio's CL wins.
Or, they do all the good work in the world then * all over it by not knowing when to take a step back and examine where your reputation currently sits, ex. Arsene Wenger.

Ange is no spring chicken. He's not a young man, and he's certainly not about to gamble what might be the last decade of his career on a move to a club absolutely doomed for relegation and poisoned from top to bottom . EPL or not.

Ange is only moving to a club with deep pockets and big ambitions. With a REAL chance at championship success.
Fortunately for us, no EPL club with that profile would have the guts to gamble on a move for an spl manager, unless they've won the * CL or another such miracle.

Where I can actually see him going, is a big rich Turkish club, or even a mid table la Liga club.

    But not yet.

Project Ange Ball isn't even out of its infancy.

    Let's just enjoy it.
