He was through the middle in that first game by the time he missed his chances.

I'm not claiming that Kyogo hasn't looked poor against them, more that GG's performances against them have started taking on mythical proportions. Sure he roughed them up a bit but he still hasn't scored against them. Also 2 of Kyogos games against them where when our squad was either a shambles/players wanting away/playing youths and fringe players, or still trying to gel a whole new team.

I have no worries about Kyogo against them in the final. The only slight concern would be that utter shambles of a pitch. Surely they have to relay that before the final.

Aye, Giakoumakis has done okay against the huns but people are going overboard. That 3-0 game when Hatate scored twice, GG missed a couple of really good chances.

we have needed a better striker in prior to gg being unsettled ,the champions league was a wake up call as it usually is. so i wouldnt be that annoyed if we let giakomakis go if we have someone better in mind and ready to go.definitly not the likes of that polish guy will be really * of if thats the plan

Aye, he did look more dangerous through the middle that day but spurned a few really good chances.

Beale isn't sitting in like Gio's teams used, he's getting their front 3 to press us high and if the midfield 3 aren't giving options we're ending up going long. Wth GG in there it gives them something to think about with a flick on, with Kyogo it's effectively surrendering possession.

If Kyogo is going to thrive we need more from the 5 in behind him. They're there for the taking.

Again I would be salivating at the prospect of Kyogo running in behind them. That would depend on Ange loosening his philosophy a bit. We don't need to lump it up the park all day, but if they are going to squeeze up, flood the midfield then we would be stupid not to knock a few over the top and let Kyogo do his thing peeling off the shoulder of the last defender

Can barely believe that’s the pitch of our national stadium. It’s like there’s been a horse race on it every time. It’s not even like they have the excuse of Queen’s Park lumping about on it fortnightly anymore.

Utter, utter riddy - even for the SFA.

There’s no chance we can afford to let Giakoumakis go at this stage. Saturday again showed as much. It was screaming out for him as it was that type of game. I’d have Giakoumakis starting against the huns as well if I’m honest. Kyogo got the goal the other week, but he was ineffective for pretty much the whole game.

When Giakoumakis has played against them, he has caused their defence a lot of problems, he occupies them which ultimately leaves space elsewhere, and we have cuffed them twice with him in the team. Kyogo is a quality player, but it’s horses for courses. Giakoumakis should have started more games than he has in my opinion. Both are great options though.

I don’t actually think Giakoumakis wants away. He obviously wants more money, but he has done well since signing so probably feels he deserves more. Of course that depends on what he is on just now, but I wouldn’t think it will be a huge wage given where we signed him from. Give him the money and keep him. We aren’t going to make a huge amount on him anyway, and we will need to use the money to bring someone else in, which is a gamble.

The wages must be a frustrating thing. We have no idea about the true story. Lets say he found out that Kyogo is on 20k/week and GG maybe only on 12K/week. Must make you're head explode as a player which i can understand, but that's just pure speculation.

The rumour I saw was he is on £11k a week which I think won’t be far from true as I recall stories about that being a bit of a stumbling block when signing him. We apparently offered him a ride to £17k a week, so a more than 50% rise. However GG, was looking to double his money.

See in terms of Kyogo I have no idea what he is on a week but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was lower than you think. In Japan most of their domestic players are on fairly modest wages in terms of footballers (somewhere between £4-9k a week), which to put in perspective the top end of that we were paying Jack Hendry. Yeah there are exceptions with mainly senior international players or ex internationals in the J league but those that haven’t left the league before not so much.

So even £15k a week is a substantial rise for any of those we signed from there.

Back on the GG one it is just speculation but if that’s true then I can see why there isn’t an agreement as £22k would make him one of our better earners and he isn’t a regular starter. I think only McGregor, CCV and Jota would be on more than that. Sadly possibly Ajeti too given where we signed him from.

That is the reason we are desperate to get rid of Ajeti and Barkas is both of them
Are on bigger wages for our squad. I know our wage bill was very high last year but if we do shift some of the deadwood we have I think it will come down substantially.

Seen him wincing on the touchline before he came on against the dons, looked like he was rubbing at his hip area

€4m is an incredibly low fee for Giakoumakis - worryingly low.

He's only 28, good goal scoring record and offers us a totally different option up-top.

Fully appreciate he's likely unhappy at not regularly starting, and that Urawa will be offering him a very large wage - but as a club we cannot be letting players like GG go for that type of money. He signed a 5 year deal back in 2021 - we're only making around €1.2 million profit.

Juranović was supposed to go to Barcelona according to a profile posing as Romano. Do we know this is the real one, or...?
