How many times has Kyogo started against them? How many goals do both have against the huns?

For balance I'll say 3 each considering Kyogo only lasted 2 mins and GG came on.
Yep Kyogo has 1 to GGs 0 but you know what I'd rather we pump them 3 and 4 nil and absolutely batter the * out of them than scrape draws.

Absolutely no one is gonna disagree that the performances in the 3 GG games were far better than Kyogo or Maeda's games.

The 2 draws Kyogo started and the semi when Maeda played we barely created anything and were lucky to get away with the 2 draws.

Kyogo has started 4 games against them.

    GG has started 2.

Kyogo has scored once and GG 0.

Kyogo may have a solitary goal against them but he's been awful in every game. And it's impacting our ability to control play in the final third.

    I aim to please.

Last time against the zombies, we went two up top, and it saved our arses. We won't have that option if GG leaves, and no replacement is ready soon.

    Like I alluded to before.
The main problem at Ibrox is we started with Forrest.
    Man down right away.
Horrible decision by Ange. Somebody should have told Ange just how bad Forrest has been against Rangers in the last eleven years.
    Obviously not.

I'd stick Maeda upfront against the huns on current form :fear:

Juranović at LB later on was worse. He was either drunk from New Years' partying or had that virus. Ange didn't trust him to start. If Bernabei was also sick, Hatate should've played LB. Loads of experience there.

Forrest was bad, but Juranović is not a LB. Good player in a poor state in an infamiliar position.

One of those games he got subbed after 2 mins and one more he was played left wing most of the game. A little bit misrepresentation of reality even though I agree that GG is effective against them

We don't necessarily have to go with 2 up top to beat them though.

It's clear however if it's 1 up top it has to be Giakoumakis. They cannot deal with him in the way they easily deal with Kyogo.

Kyogo is fine for all the other teams, perhaps he's even better than Giakoumakis, but against the Huns and in the CL we are far better off as a team with Giakoumakis.

The first game at Ibrox - where he started on the left - was actually his best performance against them even if realtively quiet. That's how ineffective he's been in the other games.

Personally, dunno if I would go ripping my top off after scoring if i was wearing a bra. :39:

Shakhtar home- we started 2 up top. Goal comes. Later, we revert to 1 up top, concede, and were unable to mount a sustained assault to win.
2 up top gives both GG and Kyogo playing time. A 4-2-4 with one inverted FB should be used as much as possible, at least in Scotland. If GG leaves, his successor will also want game time.

He was very dangerous when moved upfront in that game.

I do agree with your general point to an extent but I think Kyogo can be more dangerous against that backoine than he's shown so far.

Hope we can keep him till the summer! More like wishful thinking, but we will miss him dearly if he is sold in this window.

Just hope we have someone else if his quality lined up to replace him.

His 1st game at LW was arguably his best against them as he laid up Eddie who missed a sitter, then proceeded to miss a couple of his own.

I don't think it's too ridiculous to be worried about Kyogo's contribution. We need much more from him against them, he's posted missing too often.

Would rather he stayed until the summer, if his contract isn't resolved.

It's down to Rangers having a more competent defense than other SPFL teams, so that when they do a low block, Kyogo has no space. Giakoumakis has to be there to smash them with force.
