Real puzzler as he's had a couple of really good games, completely solid, and then he has games like today where he is awful.

Really not sure what to make of him, as other than the cash we paid for him I'd probably be in favour of recalling Montgomery as backup LB.

 

His positioning is not near as bad as bolingoli.. bit on coaching and love for bernabei and there's a player there. Just needs time

Might be great as rapid, attacking, overlapping LB getting up and down the wing, but really doesn't look like he's got his positioning sorted out to play the inverted role yet.

 

I thought he was OK this evening, he has skills, just wondering if he's in the right position

 

He has potential and i hold out a bit of hope for him, but he does seem to have alot of areas too brush up on before he is first team ready.

i would be a bit more confidence in him if he was a couple years younger.

 

Wonder if he will end up getting repackaged as a winger like Bale did.
Probably not at Celtic though.

 

He’s only 22, got a long way to go but seen plenty to say his attacking side is good but needs to do a lot on his defensive side of his game.

A loan move might do him well for more game time.

 

Think he looks awrite tbh. Sure he could defend better but like meada, like mooy, like ralston. A bit of time and application and I think he could be a real star.

This. I'd rather promote youth players if they are to be projects. Montgomery would have done at least as good a job yesterday, imo.

I genuinely don't think his best position is at full back. He looks ok from middle to front and poses an attacking threat however, he is a bit lightweight, too small, misplaces his passes (all required attributes for a defender) and was skinned way too easily by Armstrong yesterday.

 

Was a mess at times, was trying to play passes that were tricky and dribble when the pitch was too heavy in dangerous areas instead of keeping it more simple. Probably his first time playing on a pitch like that in those conditions though, waterlogged pitch falling apart, with howling wind and rain.

 

He's Anges 5th most expensive signing.

The other 4, jota, Ccv, Kyogo n Starfelt are pretty much guaranteed starters.

I think fans are quite entitled to question the signing. Age argument doesn't wash, he's similar age to jota and abada and they are more than capable of playing at our level.
