Don't think this was as abad as some make out, we needed first team ready players to get us back on top, we done that we signed a few ready to go players that won't have massive sell on value but still within a range to make some profit, doubling our input isn't too bad but the business model we have set out in recent years. I think a bit of both will serve the club well, we can't always buy 19-22 year olds and sell for massive profit as we will struggle to win the league. If any of us made an investment and doubled our cash would we complain? We take the 5m and then spend 3-4m on the next player and repeat in an upward trajectory whilst keeping 1-2m in the bank

As much as I agree his age factors into it, it's a bit frustrating that 28 is now viewed as old :giggle1:. Prime of his career. It's a shame to lose him but I realise he wants to play.

Plus the last minute goal at St Johnstone a few weeks back was another huge 3 pts he won us.

He's definitely worth more than £5m to us.

28 is a player in his prime. He's been top goalscorer in the league he's played in the past 2 seasons. He's not starting regularly because the manager prefers Kyogo in his system not because GG isn't very good. £5 million is * business whatever way you try and dress it up.

Kyogo has scored against the Zombies and has 15 goals in league and we’re in Jan he’s playing well.

5 million for a back up who has contributed a bit but doesn’t want to be here is decent for a 28 year old back up

like aspects of GGs game his touch is poor and he doesn’t link up play aswell as you think he would pish at pens aswell

In the game kyogo scored he was anonymous the whole game and was lucky to stay on till the end, in the 3-0 & 4-0 games GG bullied the huns the whole game and was unlucky not to score.

I just get the feeling the game in Scotland is too physical for him to thrive, due to him having physicality players are allowed to kick, punch, stamp, push and pull him. As soon as he challenges for the ball refs instantly call for a free kick the other way. Some player adapt to that, some just don't see the point. It asks more and more questions about our league and the style of football other teams play.

You're right about both Kyogo and GG, but in the latest Resident Evil game, it was GG who distracted 3 zombies, allowing Kyogo to pierce the boss with an easy shot.:84: That has to be mentioned.

Quite the opposite, defenders are * scared of him.

I agree though about challenges going against him more often than not though.

I’m not too bothered provided we sign a capable replacement.

I liked Giakoumakis, but he hasn’t looked the same recently as he did the second half of last season. Like his heart’s not in it. I think there’s a lot of frustration at being a bench player and having so many decisions go against him when he’s battling the opposition physically.

Would have liked a couple of million more, but no point in having someone who doesn’t want to be here.

You'd think GG was being kept out of the team by some superstar.

Kyogo was awful in the Champions League, completely manhandled like a wee boy and isn't much better against the Huns.

He's got no presence at all and is quite easily dealt with. This is a major blind spot for Ange and is a real worry going forward.

If we are actually serious about going up a level we'd need better than Kyogo as our number 1 striker.

Probably not a popular opinion but this is a consequence of poor team management. Kyogo was off form for weeks and GG should have got more opportunities. Had that happened, we might not be here.

Thats kinda what I meant, the inconsistency of what he's allowed to do vs what they get away with is incredible, but as a player must be frustrating.
