Only if his replacement is as good. Things have been different under Ange recruitment wise but we've always struggled to get effective strikers in the £2-4m bracket (with the odd exception of course).

Hopefully Cho can come in and bang them in from the get go.

 

Looks like he's off to sampdoria....once we sign a replacement. Still need another striker to come in though. Even if we got cho we'd need a striker either to break through the youth team or sign a young striker from elsewhere. Even an older striker happy to play second fiddle would do

Still think we should be keeping him as an injury to Kyogo would leave us * up top with only Maeda or Abada. Looks like he wants away though and can’t blame him, should of started far more games this season.

 

Agree with this, he was * off majorly and quite rightly so. Kyogo, Hatate and Maeda have all been shown a bit when they have been off the boil. All 3 in some great form now though with Hatates only being off for a bit towards end of last season.

GG is worth a lot more than we will receive unfortunately.

 

Him penning a new deal and knuckling down would feel like a new signing at this point.

 

Not for an established player no they won’t unless they pay part of the transfer fee on a loan fee

Second in Ligue 2 , the Girondins want to take advantage of the transfer window to strengthen their attacking sector. One of the avenues explored by the Bordeaux leaders leads to the Greek international striker of Celtic Glasgow Georgios Giakoumakis. According to our information, an offer of between 2.5 and 3 M€ was made to the Scottish club.



Under contract until June 2026, Giakoumakis (28) has scored 9 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions this season. He has been playing at Celtic since 2021 after a season with 26 goals in 30 Eredivisie matches under the colors of VVV Venlo.

 

Feel like this is a kick in the baws, he wants first team football and a better deal.

We need to be bringing in quality to replace him. I want two forwards coming in for the rest of the season.

 

I wouldn’t take it as Maja has done * all since leaving Sunderland

 

He's been much better for Bordeaux this year, to be fair.

 

Absolutely failed in ligue 1 though.

 

He did, aye. Wasn't particularly great for Fulham either in the EPL. I do think we could get the best out of him though. He's not a bad player.

 

Possibly as a 3rd choice hoping to rejuvenate himself, he could maybe do a turn. I would be disappointed if he was a Giakoumakis replacement though.
